closer. george spencer is live in rehoboth beach. no rain right now, but the wind is not letting up. >> yeah, rosemary they're calling this a deceptive storm. what you see around me right now speaks to that. rough surf out here and strong winds. at this point that is really it. through the morning we have seen a number of people just out here to catch a glimpse of the beach. the winds have warmed up since this morning. the waters off of the beach have technically been closed to swimmers and the public since yesterday. as you mentioned sussex county here is under a limited state of emergency. the windblow whin white caps. the focus out here, the expected storm surge and possible coastal flooding, certainly more than any of the possible rain, and what we will be watching as we move through the day and into tomorrow, of course, are the high tides. those tides that could have the most severe impact for coastal flooding, a high tide here in the delds beach late tonight around 11:00 p.m. at this point, a lot of watching and waiting and we will be here with folks in rehoboth beach. live th

[music playing] hey, i'm george oliphant. today, i'm excited to meet two wonderful families that really just need a quick design fix. i'm lisa. i'm pierce. we have a son, navin, and a daughter, caitlin, and a dog, opal, and we're the cleary family. pierce says we met in an elevator. i don't remember that, but we met again at a party. our friend, gabe, introduced us. and from there, it was-- you know, we were together. he brought me ice cream. i think that's really what did it. we're an active family. we love to be outside. we love to be together, do art projects, and playing in the yard. simple things. our dining space is the heart of the home. we moved in, in december, and we have to do a lot of unglamorous things like the roof and paint the house. so we haven't been able to do any design work, which is the fun stuff.

george spencer is with us now, and, george, you have been monitoring the developments overnight including those recent statements from isis. fill us in. >> yeah, so frightening, rosemary, the islamics would remain, quote, at the top of the list of targets, and terrorists call it a capital of adultery and vice. their words. we know that right now, french squaurts a security is meeting to discuss next steps after attacks from eight assailants who are now dead. you can hear some of the explosions in the brand new video taken at the theater hall, and watch as the crowds there for a concert race for the back exits. the doors you see there, and up at the top of the screen, you even see people apparently hanging from windows to excape explosions and gunfire. the theater was the scene of the most devastation with dozens taken hostage and many killed. meantime, this new video shows another scene this morning with forensics investigators at work at one of the restaurants targeted as well as a soccer stadium. news reports indicated one living in paris was eating dinner with american friend

welcome to nbc 10 news today. i'm george spencer. it is almost 9:00 on this saturday morning. let's get a check of the forecast and our weekend neighborhood weather with meteorologist erika martin. erika. >> good morning, george. good morning, everybody. conditions right now perfectly ideal, i'd say high pressure system, a weak one, in control so it's high and dry right now. clouds are breaking so nice sunshine out there. pick of the weekend i'd say. it's a little breezy with north-westerlies ranging between 10 and 20 miles per hour, otherwise clouds developing overnight tonight into tomorrow. if you look at the bottom of your screen you will see your neighborhood forecast. by monday, july 4th, we do have the threat of rain and right now i'm currently comparing model data because of course i want to keep you updated and you can always follow us on social media for more of those updates. fourth of july planner it looks like we do have plenty of clouds in the forecast. this is something that i do want to talk about in more detail in my extended forecast because i do think we will see some
