separate crimes in prince george's county. two others are now fighting for their lives. this all started with a triple shooting in capital shooting. nikki burdine has the latest. >> reporter: a violent morning in prince george's county that all started here in this parking lot in capitol heights. three people were shot. one of them died. at about 12:30 a.m., police say two men and a woman were shot outside the heritage knowles town home. a man was taken to the hospital in critical condition. another man was pronounced dead at the scene. another neighbor heard they -- said they heard gunshots, something they're not used to here. neighbors say there are several squatters in the house in front of the crime scene. it's not clear who the shooter was. and just about four miles away and less than five hours later, another homicide. a man was found ?0with trauma his upper body on cooper lane in hyattsville. >> i haven't heard of anything like this in quite a long time. we've seen incidences but not quite to this extreme. >> reporter: the man's body remained on the sidewalk uncovered for hours.

deadline by close of business day wednesday. all prince george's county students must have the proper vaccinations are a they can't go to school. this year that number is high and the school system is trying to get the word out. nikki burdine spoke with some concerned parents this morning. >> reporter: 3 thown, that's the number -- 3,000, that's the number of students who have not been vaccinated in prince george's county. if that number doesn't change by wednesday, that's the number of kids who will not be in school come thursday. >> it's very important to have that because if you don't, what will the kids do? it's not their fault. they're children. we have to make sure things happen. >> reporter: this man's kids have been vaccinated since day one but other parents are worried. >> if they don't get it, they can't come to school and learn. >> reporter: the majority of kids in violation are pre-k, kindergarten and seventh grade. compare that 3,000 number to what's happening in montgomery county. they only have nine students not vaccinated which is frustrating to parents. >> this is sch

>>> hello, we begin with breaking news of a dump truck crashing into a home in prince georges county. scott, can you tell us if anyone's been hurt? >> reporter: yeah, it's a really dramatic incident, because two kids have been hurt. they were not in this building, they were in a vehicle that hit by a truck before it slammed into a building. this dump truck on owens avenue, we're on the prince george's side of the line. it's a big, heavy truck, and therefore the building may be on the verge of collapse. it's a duplex. firefighters out here are trying to shore up the building before they're going to even think about removing this truck. let's talk about what happened out here. it appears the dump truck lost control. you can see some construction going on a little farther down the road. moments ago, we were able to talk to the driver of the dump truck. he told me that a white panel van came screaming through the flaggers of this construction site, and sideswiped him. that caused him to lose control, the dump truck hit several vehicles. one of those vehicles had two adults and two

app. mike? >> see you in a bit. prince georges county fire and rescue crews have spent most of the morning battling a huge blaze at a building under construction in college park. this is around 10 this morning west of route 1. delia gonzales joins us with more on what happened and where the investigation is now. delia? >> firefighters still trying to get to the bottom of exactly what happened here. no one was hurt. but the flames pretty amazing and spectacular. but take a look at the most dramatic images we've seen all day. they are on the roof. this is the rear of that six story structure. look at that, the smoke thick smoke billowing from the roof top and firefighters walking back and forth on that roof as well trying to get ahold of the situation. we can tell you the flames started on the fifth floor crept up to the roof and we are seeing all of the smoke. take a look here at route 1 when we were approaching the scene a short time ago we were driving into thick fog. that is how much smoke we have in the area. we have 100 fire personnel, emergency personnel here a three alarm bla
