. details on the deal a typhoon hits southern china-- bringing devastating floods. where it's headed next-- plus more of your global headlines warplanes have stopped airstrikes on aleppo today. the region is preparing to let civilians and rebels leave the city. that's according to russian state media. the strikes were haulted this morning in preparation for a ceasefire. start thursday morning and end that evening. the hault in fighting will also allow for the injured and sick to be taken out of rebel-held eastern parts of aleppo . and in yemen-- the u-n is reporting warring parties there have agreed to a 72 hour ceasefire that will begin just before midnight on wednesday. an official working in the county says the ceasfire will spare the yemeni people further bloodshed and will allow for the expanded delivery of humanitarian assistance. the fighting in yemen pits shiite rebels-- against a u.s.- backed, saudi-led coalition supporting the internationally recognized government of the president of yemen . in iraq-- kurdish forces working with iraqi forces are continuing their advance to

medal count. the u-s has 35 gold, 33 silver, and 32 bronze medals -- 100 in total. china is next with 58... great britain with 56... russia has 44... and japan behind with 36. rain and cooler helped the crews battling the hertha ridge fire here in colorado. it's burned 73 acres near carter lan larimer county. the sheriff's office says its now 75 percent contained - thanks in part - to light rain and cooler weather this afternoon. let's hope that continues... crews have made progress on the massive blue cut fire in southern california.. even so -- tens of thousands of people are still under evacuation orders. air quality. and authorities could not immediately say how many homes have been destroyed. but they warned residents to prepare for a big number. as of thursday - that fire is 22- percent contained. the u-s air force is changing the foam it uses to fight fires.. this-- after concerns that it contaminated water in el paso county. the air force says it awarded a 6- point-2 million dollar contract this week-- to replace the foam with something more "environmentally responsible."

. and 22 bronze. china is the next closest country with 45 total medals. they have 15 gold. great britain has 38 total medals. russia has 30. and japan rounds out the top five with 27 total medals. president obama has declared a louisiana. four people are dead and 20- thousand people have been rescued after rains hammered the baton rouge area over the weekend. about 10-thousand people are staying in shelters. officials are warning evacuees to stay away for now. parts of louisiana could get more rain-- over the next few days. two fires in northern california -- the clayton fire and the chimney fire -- have destroyed more than 20 homes -- and forced thousands to evacuate. homes were burned in the clayton fire -- as well as a post office, winery and habitat for humanity office. but eyewitnesses say they could easily see more than 10 burnt homes. and the chimney fire -- burning about 180 miles northwest of los angeles -- has burnt 12 homes. both started late saturday. thankfully, no injuries have been reported. there's a new program to re- train people who lost their jobs in the coal

china all recovered ground they lost in the first hours after the election. if donald trump sticks to his plans - he will be busy in his first 100 days in office. in october, on the campaign trail he talked about his contract with americans. it focuses on, in his words, cleaning up corruption in washington, protecting american workers - and restoring security and the constitutional rule of law. he said he plans to criminal illegal immigrants-- although the government estimates there are about 170 thousand in the country. he wants to renegotiate the nafta trade agreement-- start building a wall on the mexican border, repealing and replacing the affordable care act or obamacare. and pass term limits for lawmakers - something republican leadership says it will not bring up. after this long and hard-fought campaign and such a stunning upset over hilary clinton-- trump will take polls said leading up to election night. analysts and authors say loftiness toward trump's supporters -- describing them as one-deminsional or racist and stupid-- may have been what pushed him over the top. trumps

sell off going on today in tokyo. asian markets continued to slump weighed down by worry about china's slowing economy and falling crude oil prices. the u.s. department of transportation released its latest list of on-time performance by u.s. airlines. the results are from last november. the on-time average for all airlines combined improved compared to november last year.... however the average also dropped slightly from october of ranked number one with 93-point-9 percent of flights on time. rounding out the top 5 were.... delta ... alaska airlines... united... and american. last on the list with the worst performance was frontier airlines with a 74-percent on-time average. as part of an effort to draw in a younger audience -- the boston symphony orchestra is loaning ipads to select patrons. they'll be loaded with content specific to each performance. guests will be able to view sheet music for the pieces being played-- video interviews with musicians-- composers and analysis on the works themselves. they'll also get a close-up view of the conductor point of view. so marty... how's s
