developing news in southwest china where a powerful earthquake has killed more than a hundred people and injured many more. the quake was a 6.6 magnitude, a city of more than one million people. at least 156 are now dead. that is new number, 5500 are injured so far. new video shows the shaking as it happened. now, we're getting pictures of the damage. this shows homes and buildings have collapsed. many of the hard hit areas are unreachable by road. the casualty count has been rising sharply since the quake hit last night. it's expected to continue rising as helicopters are going out on search and rescue missions. >> the grim job of recovering those that lost their lives in the town of west, texas, continues. there are 14 confirmed fatalities with three people still missing. more than 200 people were injured. president obama has now pledged federal aid to the town where "abc 7 news" reporter laura anthony continues to cover the story. she spoke to residents that have not lost their spirited even though they lost their homes. >> everything is gone. the ceiling is gone. >> do you feel luc y
