until 2024. the chinese dissident that caused major diplomatic tensions between china and the united states has now been reunited with his family. the blind legal activist escaped house arrest last week. the chinese news service reported that he left the u.s. embassy after staying there for six days and also receive medical care in beijing. >> developing news out of san diego county where a former linebacker has been found dead in an apparent suicide. police believe the 43 roles shot himself at his oceanside home. investigators are still there investigating. local media reports that he was found by a housekeeper with a gunshot wound to the chest. he was a first-round draft picks employed 20 years in the nfl, he leaves behind his wife and three children. meanwhile in new orleans saints linebacker has been suspended without pay for the entire 2012 season. he is one of the four players' bench for taking part in that team cash for its bounty scheme. according to the league he offered $10,000 to an unclear how that knocked court order out of the playoff game at the end of the 2009 season.

body yesterday near the slope at the china peak ski resort where eli shelby went missing monday. the 29-year-old was skiing with a friend but never returned to his car. so far, the storm system and mountainous terrain have kept authorities from identifying the victims. >>> high wind was a factor in an accident at a popular ski resort. this was in maine. at least 8 people including three children were hurt when part of a ski left collapsed yesterday at sugarloaf. five chairs plummeted to the ground. one woman fell almost 20 feet. she hit her head in the fall but was not seriously hurt. >> it was the entire mechanism that fell, the whole cable and chair fell. i checked myself over and made sure that i was okay. and then i realized that there probably were people who needed my help. >> about a dozen uninjured skiers spent about an hour on the lift until they were rescued. the lift was shut down earlier in the day because of strong winds in the area but was determined later to be safe. >>> police are investigating a robbery at a marijuana grow allows in san jose. two people were wounded one
