pizza hut and you wouldn't think that taco bell and pizza hut would be huge in china but they are. yum brands over the last couple of years has done a great job of going into china and really hitting that market properly. when you go into a mace like china, the middle east, any place that is a little bit different, you have to be careful of the local customs, local tastes and you have to cater to them. yum has done a great job with pizza hut and kentucky fried chicken and taco bell and they are doing great in china. they announced a great quarter yesterday. stock was up 2% after hours after gaining more than 2% yesterday during regular tring. so keep an eye on yum brands. that is the ticker similar bell y-u-m, yum. >>> a busy stretch of road turning into a rushing river in just minutes. you might remember this scene from late last year. this more than, word that we could have seen this and worse on the beltway. that story coming up as well. ohh... how many friends does a person need, sharon ? wall street and concerns out of china this morning, chris. >> yeah, you had a little selloff yesterday. thank goodness it wasn't worse. we were down 200 at pun weekend ended the day at 122. not uncommon that you have a selloff after an event, even if it is a positive event because you had such a big run-up to the event. health care stocks sold off because they raup so much the day before. you also had news out of china that the chinese central bank is going to reduce their lending and they're actively trying to convince other banks in china to do the same to try to curtail growth a little bit. they are still steaming around and they are worried about asset bubbles in china. in curtailing that lending, it may slow down global growth because we are such a tightened economy. an interesting story about the "new york times" i want to get here. looks like starting in 011, they will start charging for on- line content. it is interesting because we've seen so many newspapers go out of business here of late and it is a way that the times said look, we've got to do this in order to mak

earthquake during modern times was in china during the 1920s. it was in 1920. an earthquake at that time killed about 200,000 people. there is an image from that earthquake in 1920. well, that is the one in 1920. in 1927, another earthquake in a different part of china killed nearly 50,000 people. however, some sources list the total as high as 200,000. there is some confusion about that. the u.s. geological survey says it was about 50,000. we think there is some confusion, people confusing it with the earthquake in 1920. now, the 1927 earthquake as a magnitude 7.6. that earthquake actually created a new lake. the earthquake in chile in 1960 created a tsunami that impacted the west coast of the united states. earthquakes sometimes lead to tsunamis. the deadliest combination occurred in sumatra in 2004. the earthquake measured 9.0 on the richter scale just like the one in japan two weeks ago. the tsunami created by this earthquake hit 12 asian countries and claimed 225,000 lives. the richter scale is on a scale from one to 10 with 10 being the highest. so 9.0, 9.3, those are very high. do
