china unveiled those new circuit breakers that are designed to shut down trade being it becomes too erratic. on thursday those safeguards kicked in again just a half an hour into china's trading day and that halted trading for the day. >> this was a panic caused by chinese officials and we now have to worry about the competence of beijing to manage their own economy. >> financial authorities in china have now suspended those circuit breakers for now. but the instability for the chinese economy continues. one analysis shows that china has lost about $500 billion in reserves in just last month. now, going back to that jobs report, the federal government released the monthly jobs at 5:30 this morning. employers did at 292,000 jobs. it's about 100,000 more than expected. the unemployment rate remains steady at 5%. now, for all of 2013 the -- 2015 the economy added 265 million jobs. that's the second best since 1999. with our paychecks going up, wages are up by 2.5%. that matches the annual gains in october, which were the best in six years. so we go back to you guys up in the studio up

just in early december, went from china to first american port of all, los angeles christmas day. now it's on its way into the port of oakland. you're looking at 185,000 tons of ship. that's the equivalent weight of 400 fully loaded 74 sef7 jumbo jets. it is enormous. the average ship coming into the port is 1,200 feet long and carries 12 to 14,000 containers. the benjamin franklin is 1309, 177 feet wide, and it is a eee class vessel, one of the largest. believe it or not, as large as this ship is, it is only the tenth largest in the world. nine others are primarily between asia and europe. this is a new dawn for the port of oakland and american ports because this will up the amount of cargo coming in. after all the problems we've had, we could certainly use that because more cargo means more jobs on both sides of the ocean. and as they say, just a very large ship. it can go 26 miles an hour. when you're pushing 185,000 tons, that is very, very fast. >> tom we know that finished dredging the port of oakland deeper so it could handle the ship. you mention a trend towards the bigger shi
