the best of the bunch question that europe is still a mess. how is china doing? >> we are actually doing the best. just look at china. the chinese economy is actually not doing that well. there are a lot of complex. the new party just took over the control. there are a lot of things to figure out. the u.s. is in the best condition right now. we have to get past this fiscal cliff and move on. connell: we probably would be talking a lot more about china and the transition of power and how president obama is supposed to do without. when you say there are economy is not doing that great, does that mean it is in jeopardy of a tough all, or it will hang in there? >> i think it will hang in there. china, i think, will grow. reasonably, i have seen some analysts come out and be pretty bullish. their economy, the outlook is willing not that bright. although, they probably will not fall hard. china is sort of setting their status quo. i think the u.s., again, back to the u.s., they have to get their act together. connell: a few days after the end of the year. that is just silly, if you think

together. the weak inflation figure shows later in the week we have seen the china and gdp numbers that it will be terrible, so really what you'r you are seeing is ded destruction fears playing out before your very eyes. a big selloff across the entire economics. we're seeing a big break in our gasoline futures. that is good news partially because of the lower crude prices, refineries are starting to come back online. the refining margins have been very good. with an expectation gasoline production is going to surge and as you know it is a lot easier to spin out the winter gasoline as opposed to the summertime. heating oil going back and forth a little bit weaker today but what we have seen is heating oil gasoline has been a strong trade they're looking at. melissa: it has been the biggest loser in the bunch after hitting fresh 2012 highs, all of a sudden what happened with mark speak with a price in winter last week. this week temperatures will warm up a little bit. people have to realize if you look at natural gas, people are scratching their head. 7% above a year ago, 8% above the ei

what is happening in china is for u.s. equity markets. concerns in china weighing on the asian markets and overnight trading at ripple affect on european markets as well. china central bank preparing to cut the percentage of cash that banks have to keep on hand if the country's economic growth falls below their threshold of 7.5% set by the government, a move that would cause of flood of cash to be let into the system in the form of stimulus because the economy would be slowing down so much they stand ready to do this and that would be a good thing economically at least in the short term for china, that was seen as oh my god is falling down so much they are talking about doing this which is why we're seeing investors across the globe, tokyo markets, hang seng and hong kong, tokyo, look at this sell-off in their trading session, 2 bling 6% drop, the hang seng, over in china at drop of 2%. australian market's down and the ripple effect we were talking about, we saw trading in germany, each of the major averages in europe falling 1% so the sell-off then continues at home. not a big
