landslides and flash flooding in southwest china. officials say eight people were killed, 24 hours are still missing. the missing include 11 coal miners who were buried in a landslide. 500 rescue workers trying to evacuate 7,000 people in that region. then in france crews searching through the rubble after an apartment building explosion. the explosion leveled the four-story building in a suburb of paris yesterday. officials say initial reports show it may have been caused by a gas leak. seven people have been confirmed dead. two others are still missing. >>> fire breaks out in one of the oldest and most well-known buildings in india. it's in the heart of the city formerly known as calcutta. heavy fire burned on one floor of that building trapping four people. they were rescued by a ladder truck. it's not clear what started that fire. >>> thirteen cubans rescued after they were spotted by the mexican navy in the gulf of mexico. the men and women were inside a makeshift boat partially made out of wood. the navy said two others didn't survive. one died during the trip. a second person di
