concerns on china's activities in the south china sea were priority topics for discussion. china is north korea's main link to the outside world. u.s officials say beijing isn't doing enough to tests and return to disarmament talks. if you plan on taking a weekend getaway this year, you're not alone. a recent enterprise survey says more than eight in 10 people plan to take at least one weekend getaway this year. that's increases to nine out of 10 for those who are married or have children under the age of 18. many won't be traveling far from home, either. nearly 80 percent of those surveyed say a top benefit of a weekend getaway is that they can explore places closer to home. more than six million bottles of water are being sent to students hit by the flint, michigan water crisis. the bottles have been donated by walmart, coke, pepsi and nestle. 10 thousand students will be provided with clean water throughout 2016. flint's tap water has been contaminated with toxic levels of lead, and state and federal officials have struggled to provide clean water for flint's residents. wondering

years. china's economy grew by 6.9% in 2015, compared with 7.3% a year earlier, marking its slowest growth in a quarter of a century. it's being seen as a major concern for investors around the world. china's growth is seen as a driver of the global economy. asian stock markets chalked modest gains today after the announcement. mexico has beefed up security at the prison holding joaquin "el chapo" guzman -- hoping to prevent a third escape. guzman was captured some six months after a brazen prison break using a tunnel connected to his cell. workers are reinforcing the floor of his current cell, and a guard is at his door at all times. the improved security measures also include reducing the number of inmates, quadrupling the number of cameras, and moving guzman another prison in mexico is getting some upgrades ahead of a visit from the pope. pope francis is visiting the prison, which used to be a center and symbol of gang power, on february 17th. the prison is calm enough that francis will be able to enter and speak to prisoners, 250 relatives and 100 religious workers. inmates are

theater on greene street. in the alert center this morning.... china confirms their first case of the zika virus in a man who recently traveled to the national health and family planning commission says the 34- year-old man there had been treated in venezuela before returning home this past friday. doctors say they confirmed the patient has the zika virus on tuesday. despite the diagnosis, health authorities believe the virus is highly unlikely to spread in china due to low winter temperatures and a lack of mosquito activity. the centers for disease control has also ramped up it's response to the zika virus here in the u.s. the obama administration is also asking congress for 1-point-eight billion dollars in emergency funding for the fight the virus our michal higdon is live in the newsroom with more on what this virus means for us here in south carolina. at this point, there have been no cases reported here specifically in south carolina. but the center for disease control reports there have been 51 zika infections in the u.s. the majority of those have been travel-related. we spoke
