housing. the concern that has troubled me the most was about the case that the city is on in trying to deliver on 400 units. the goal which was instigated in 2008 and hoping they would arrive at an objective by 2012 is now -- has now been extended to 2015 because they are now were on pace. only 119 units have been pre identified, a pre developed, not developed. when you look at the spectrum of what the need is due out the city, i think that a strong case has been made that this is quite in order to make the project feasible, it is affirmed by the fact that we have 92-story buildings, three-story buildings, 34-story buildings in that area. across the street, we have a bus yard. it helps explain why this is justified. realizing some of the impacts that are of concern, but also realizing that as it was testified, it is strongly residential. it is sandwiched between those two or three blocks is the oldest public housing project development in san francisco. it started in 1952 were client and children do use booker t.. the other side, you have it on the hill itself across the street from

diagram here shows the city pattern for the streets in san francisco where there's a one-on-one relationship for street width to street heights. this came from the market octavia plan and it's recommended rule of thumb for height to street with ratios. so as we start to look at the presidio ave elevation, we have a 55-foot high building that comes up and is pushed towards presidio ave, which allows more of a height to widths ratio. then it drops down towards the bid block. and as we turn the corner, he break the building into two pieces and reduce it more than the buildings across the street. so give it ahill more vertical and slimmer profile. then at the back we break it down again with a 13-foot setback from sutter street and then a 15-foot setback from the rear yard. so you can see as we set back the fifth floor, this height at 45 feet is basically very close to what the compromise building has been talked about. so if we were to have a 45-foot building that came all the away across. if you follow the cursor, this would actually fill in this corner with. this 45 foot, we're s

an e-mail sent out from a city agency urgent letters be sent to the planning commission and to the district supervisor are urging him to support a larger project or urging certification. this was using city resources and city e-mail was used to send those letters. the others involved devised a plan to circumvent neighborhood input. look at exhibit four. the actual impact it masers will be the last -- the actual people who are impacted will be the last. taken as a whole, these show that the city was absolutely committed to this project long before sequel review and approval. this project was not contingent at all on what might be found in the burma of the process. the information is not overwhelming. it is directly on point. given those factors, i urge you to consider sending this back for proper review not tainted by this process and the information we have found. there will be some other speakers on this issue but there is crucial factual information, the baseline information that was incorrect. you don't make a printing error by leaving out an entire category. believe it or not,

through quite a sinewy process of city hall, both imbedded by planning department staff, the commission, and had enlisted the attention of me and the number of our colleagues over many months. that aside, based on process and procedure, booker t. is an invaluable community center. as they are coming close to celebrating their centennial, and based on the demographic changes of this particular grid of the city, many of those catalyzed by the missteps of urban renewal, we are starving for the kind of facility that can accommodate that level of demographic change, while at the same time use that half acre parcel to smartly build the kind of housing that it tends to the overarching need as transitional use housing and affordable housing in an area that arguably we can often say should or should not be able to accommodate, whether it is 41 units or 50 units of housing. this is a strong corridor of mass transit arianna and i believe it's only going to get better because many of us believe in the trends of first policy and the one that intersects a particular part of our city. i'm trying to be

. >> thank you so much. breaking news in the district at this time. the city attorney general laid down a case against mark c. graves -- against a d.c. council member. mark c. graves has been getting the details for us. >> this is an absolute bombshell. a 27 page civil complaint filed by the attorney general seeking $1 million in damages from council member thomas. the allegations are that he funneled $300,000 in taxpayer money and $80,000 in charity contributions for a youth baseball fund that never got the money. that he spent that money on a brand new audi suv going to las vegas and pebble beach to play golf. these are all outlined in the civil complaint and it has been referred to the u.s. attorney general. they are going to start looking at his tax records to see if he violated tax regulations as well. council member thomas would normally be in his first floor office the day. he did send me a text message saying that he is meeting with his attorney right now and that in the past he has denied any wrongdoing. again, a huge development in the ethics violations against a city -- level
