" alex giaimo) due to recent events the university of iowa has tightened its security measures at kinnick stadium for the iowa-purdue game on saturday. fans should expect more extensive screening before, during and after the game. the new policy is modeled after the nfl- which places restrictions on purses and handbags. fans will be prohibited from into the stadium. bags that are permitted will need to be clear plastic, vinyl or pvc that do not exceed 14"-14 inches. one-gallon clear plastic or ziploc bags are al permitted along with small clutch bags that do not exceed 4.5-6.5 inches. the clear bag policy is not tied to any specific threat but reflects modifications made by other venues in light of recent international events.
