staggering 147 fbi agents are on this case right now. >> that story reported by the washington post would be a huge deal, if true. that would be a ton of fbi agents. for instance, in investigation into the oklahoma city bombing, the largest act of home grown terrorism, there were 120 special agents based in oklahoma city and more agents at fbi headquarters in washington working on the case according to the fbi website. in the washington post it would suggest there's a criminal investigation of truly high titanic status. it would have been news very a very good reason. here's the thing. that number, 147, was not correct. it was not even close to correct. here's the washington post's own correction. an earlier version of this article reported that 147 fbi agents have been detailed to the investigation, according to lawmaker briefed. two u.s. law enforcement officials have since told the washington post the figure is too high. the fbi will not provide an exact figure but officials say it's fewer than 50. according to msnbc, a former federal law enforcement official tells msnbc an estim

rights campaign quickly condemned the law and the governors minnesota, washington and new york have all banned nonessential travel to mississippi. joining me now is pete williams from washington. is this going to be challenged? >> no question about it. there's already a lawsuit over the north carolina bill. this will be challenged as well. the law does several things, andrea. first of all, it says if you're a religious institution, you don't have to perform a same sex marriage. you don't have to hire gay couples who are married. the law gave many of those protections any way without having passed this separate law. it goes further, it says government officials can refuse to provide services to same sex couples or gay couples seeking marriage licenses for example. says the state can't refuse to give them that service, if the individual employees of the government don't want to do that, somebody has to step into their shoes to do it. it says as the governor just said, companies, bakeries, flour i florists, don't have to serve couples who want to get a same sex marriage. the protection

multiple news sources, including "the washington post," lieutenant commander edward c. lin faces several counts of espionage and other charges including prostitution and adultery. there are reports that he passed secret information to china. although nbc news has not independently confirmed those reports. the navy has withheld his identity but "the washington post" reports a u.s. official disclosing it under condition of anonymity citing the sensitivity of the case. according to his heavily redacted charge sheet released by the navy, lin is accused of stealing secret information, quote, with intent or reason to believe it would be used to the advantage of a foreign nation. he reportedly had access to sensitive u.s. intelligence, and served on some of the navy's most sensitive intelligence gathering aircraft. lin, who was originally a taiwanese national and later became a u.s. citizen, was apparently arrested eight months ago, but information about the case was highly secretive and did not become available until a preliminary military justice hearing on friday. >>> now, to the cam
