popular portland park looking for any sign of 21-year-old hiker, annie schmidt. >> if she got injured and is by a water source, she could still be alive. >> reporter: a full week has now passed since annie, the daughter of musician, john schmidt, the leader of the group the piano guys disappeared near the columbia river gorge. her car was discovered near the trail head days later. her phone and belongings still inside. >> i think she got out of her car and was going to go for a short hike. she was just by herself. >> reporter: but according to her roommate, annie left her shoes, her backpack and regular hiking gear at home. >> i feel so horrible, and i wish i knew more. >> reporter: complicating the search, a storm. days of rain threatening to wipe out trails and leaving some fearing that annie fell deep into the gorge. >> she could literally have fallen off one of the 20, 30-footers that are all over, all over the trails. >> reporter: her parents refusing to give up. schmidt asking his millions of fans on facebook to help find his daughter and join the search. >> there's so many people l

was an all typhoon. portland trees are down. this house and outside the house and over 120,000 people without power at one point. winds gusting 60 miles an hour in the valley. 80 miles an hour on the coast and over 100 in the coast range. there it is speeding up a bit past seattle. western washington not as bad as western oregon but san francisco a number of fligts cancelled with winds to 40 miles an hour. that wind energy pouring down into southern california and in through colorado and another batch of rain. another half foot of rain expected across oregon and washington. and neal karlinsky with more on the storm. >> reporter: things were rocking and rolling for a time overnight bringing down lots of rain and trees, too. from portland to seattle a weekend of back to back rain and wind storms pummeled the pacific northwest. >> my neighbor's tree, i heard blew. like flames flew four feet out of the air and it all fell down and the power went out. >> in portland the sight of a crane swaying in the wind. that crane held up but the biggest problem repeated again and again, trees,
rolling for a time overnight bringing down lots of rain and trees, too. from portland to seattle a weekend of back to back rain and wind storms pummeled the pacific northwest. it crack and the transformer blew. like flames flew four feet out of the air and it all fell down and the power went out. >> in portland the sight of a crane swaying in the wind. that crane held up but the biggest problem repeated again and again, trees, trees through homes, smashing power lines and blocking roads. in seattle a father and his 4-year-old son were injured when a tree branch broke off and fell on them. the boy has serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital. across town a single tree fell in oregon, flash flooding made for scary moments saturday as several motorists drove into water they thought was no deeper than a huge puddle. that was a mistake. watch as this car bobs and floats. one man climbed out his window to get to safety and others relying on strangers for help. >> i thought it would be shallower. i didn't realize it was going to be waist high. i was pretty scared when i saw how high it was.
