not downtown, but in northern baltimore county and harford county. now we're looking at the temperatures outside. still very warm this evening. a muggy day, 68 right now in perry hall. in glen burnie. 64 in reisterstown, and 65 in moncton. some of the areas that did receive the rain earlier are cooling down this evening. but looking live at maryland's most powerful radar, we're seeing a different story here. not quite the widespread storm activity, although we are watching one cell move in towards downtown baltimore this evening. so some wet weather still impacting you. if you're headed home tonight and that heavier storm activity has now moved off to the east. no lightning with this one cell, although still possible to have a few isolated pop-up thunderstorms as we head in through the overnight hours. for the most part, we will start to dry out after midnight. temperatures only drop down into the upper 60s. a warm day in store for us tomorrow, and even warmer, more humid air in store as we head through next week. all the details on that coming up. >

you can see some thunderstorms northern baltimore county, extreme northwestern hartford county and in carroll county. we'll show you no watches, no warnings, no longer in effect for us. they are all gone. but we have had a few rounds of thunderstorms today. mainly for the southeastern shore. winds are light out there. at the same time, the moisture starting to rise. because of the that, we're going to see fog overnight. now, the other thing too, temperatures drops, but not that much further. 76 in baltimore, 73 in cumberland. 70 overnight. 87 for the high today. we're going to be at or above that over the next few days. the other thing that we'll see is the chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms almost each and every day. on the back of the front here, some thunderstorms around. close enough tomorrow we could see more pop up. mainly in the afternoon and evening hours, but here comes in next one from the west. ahead of it on wednesday, another round of thunderstorm are possible. so thursday and friday, because it's going to take some time for the front to go through. in this at

in fact, last night up to two to 2.5-inches in northern baltimore county at about 11:00. so impressive totals there. 71 downtown. across state line, 66 in york. we're looking at 77 to begin things. very balmy start in ocean city. across board today it looks like a slight chance for showers and storms. and as is typical for the summertime forecast, mainly in the late afternoon to early evening. 84, central maryland. 76, western mountains. pretty consistent across the board. as we take a look at the forecast on the bay, chesapeake waters, basically only a foot. winds out of the north-northeast at about five to 10 knots. as we look at what we got yesterday in precipitation, .43-inches. just under half an inch of rainfall. that's something we haven't seen all month long. a welcomed number there. we hit a high yesterday of 84. that's still beneath the threshold which is our normal high. 97, set back in 1987. and a nice contrast. 55-degree record low back in 1985. nowhere near that tonight. 62 to 66. cloudy to partly cloudy with a slight chance for scattered showers and storms.

and also up in harford county and northern baltimore county into southern pennsylvania early this morning. very heavy thunderstorms. very small, but came roaming through the region. right now very heavy rainfall going up into pennsylvania, and still some scattered showers left back to the southwest of us. it's all being caused by this area of low pressure. we've been telling you about the series of low pressure. this is the most intense one, with the counterclockwise rotation of air continues to bring moisture in from the atlantic atlantic. that's what is causing the heavy rainfall that is heading right into new england. if you're traveling to long island, new york, harford, boston, going out on the cape, expect 2 to 4-inches of rain in the next 24 hours as the system makes its way through. in the meantime, here in baltimore, we've got some scattered showers around the region. just out to the west of us, there they are right there. there is the showers that came through the baltimore region, kind of fell apart a couple of hours ago. some very heavy thunderstorms now making their way throu
