it already has been a problem in frederick county. frederick, howrksd st. george, until 6:00, and a tornado watch until 9:00 for the entire metro area. back to live doppler. here are the warnings now. again, anne arundel, frederick, howard, prince george's. the good news is there's no severe thunderstorm warnings right now. i guess that's good news. the bad news, four tornado warnings out. i'll go back into this storm now, straddling. we're talking a tremendous amount of rain around mclean, vienna, fairfax, bethesda, great falls, also potomac. so it is indeed going to be a slow drive home tonight, no doubt about that. i will zoom back out a little bit. and i think we have some good news really to report in terms of this storm that is exiting prince george's county. into howard county. i don't see any wind sheer with it. it has some winds with it. i don't see anything to indicator neighed dose. it's moving northeast at 18. it is going to hit -- we'll try to give you some neighborhoods, but i feel a little better about this storm. i was concerned awhile ago.

out toward the west we're watching more storms, frederick and a tornado warning again. that's set to expire around 6:00. this is the latest radar, maryland's most powerful radar showing an intense band of rain. we have been watching rainfall rates between two to four inches of rain. we've been seeing the flooding concern moving so slowly. the storm of the most severity is to the south of glen burnie. you can see where it is a tornado warning. we'll put a storm track on this. this is the storm that's capable of producing a tornado but also capable of producing a dangerous cloud to ground lightning and some large hail. we'll switch over to the live sweeping radar. i want to zoom back down into that storm that is set to move toward the north and east at 20 miles an hour. it's going to bring it into parts of the harbor at 6:23 and bethesda at 6:23. if you live in a town or region that's close, you need to seek shelter, get into a basement if you do have it, better safe than sorry. as this storm will roll toward the north and east we are expecting dangerous lightning. let's

sue in frederick always sends great pictures. she captures these in frederick. she has a nice area overlooking the horizon. a beautiful picture of a little shower in the distance. and then it turns into a rainbow. thank you for capturing those photographs yesterday. i will have plenty more to share through the morning. there is the sun rise over washington. good morning. nothing but sunshine to start the day, with low humidity. it's just like the past couple morning's with comfortable temperatures in the 50's. low 50's for most of us now. 51 in martinsburg, 52 and gaithersburg, 54 in manassas, 61 at reagan national along the water, 61 at lexington park along the water. 85 at 3:00 p.m. for the high temperature with a good amount of sunshine. mostly sunny with patchy clouds developing. the average high is 82. five days in a row this week the afternoon high temperature was below average. that will change starting today. we were one degree above average yesterday. mid 80's today. low 90's by sunday with a chance of humidity and rain on tuesday. now police and. >> lo
