monika samtani with time saver traffic. >> good morning, everybody. i smile but i don't know if you will be when i tell you what's going on in virginia. two separate accidents first of all on the northbound side of i- 95 right near quantico. an accident in the left lane and now an accident reported on the sob side of 39 -- on the southbound side of 395 right before the gw parkway. first of all northbound side you can see everything is final. let's go to the southbound side on our cameras. i saw vdot trying to move around the cameras and it kind of got stuck here in the trees but i'm going to step out and you can see the accident right here along the right side of the roadway. on the southbound side. that's what you should expect as you leave the 14th street bridge if that's where you're headed right now. let's go back over to our maps and this time over to the west side of town. no problems on 66 or the dulles toll road. we're looking good the entire western stretch of the roadway. all that overnight construction pretty much gone for the day. we'll ta

monika samtani, 5:28, how are the roads looking right now? >>> we have a couple of issues scattered around town right now. i don't think the wet road conditions are helping much. i'm going to start off with a large tree down on the southbound tied of the gw parkway. park police tell us it's right at the exit for the c.i.a. and it is blocking the lanes here. you can follow police direction to get around it but you know if you're a gw parkway driver every single morning. it gets heavy early so plan for this on the southbound side of the gw parkway. let's go to the other side of town. no problems right now on the bw parkway or route 50. let's take a live look outside at bladensburg road. you're going to be final. we'll go to our traffic camera for that. on the northbound side of bladensburg road after route 50, there is a problem with the manhole cover and that may cause a bit of a delay. back over to the maps. no problems to report if you're heading in from southern maryland. in my next report, another look at area roads. back to you guys. >> t

time to check with monika samtani. it's been a rough start to the tuesday commute. >>> especially to those traveling on the southbound side of i-270 early on a tuesday morning. we had an accident southbound side at route 118. at one point two lanes were blocked. right now it's been cleared but look at the slow traffic. actually that stretch begins at route 109 all the way down to route 118. let's take a live look outside right now at route 121. again, this is pretty much what it looks like coming down from 109. once you get to 118 the pace does improve down into rockville again with the lanes reopened. let's take you back over to the map. a couple of situations i want to let you know about. once is the prince william parkway an accident south of i- 66. it was just a minor accident but it haded lanes shut down for -- had the lanes shut down for a bit. affecting traffic getting into manassas at 234. slow into centreville. another situation this falls church between seven corners and falls church where there's been a poli

let's go to monika samtani here at 6:14. she's got the latest for you in time saver traffic. >> thank so you much. good morning, everybody. the beltway has been incident fee all morning long. you just have a couple of slow stretches on the northbound side of i-95 as you leave quantico heading off and on toward dale city in woodbridge. i'm going to step out and show you a live picture from sky 9. northbound 95. this is what it looks like at the prince william parkway. again it's just that delay, that volume as you head towards springfield and on up to the beltway but all lanes are open as you can see. traffic is still moving pretty well all things considered. let's go back over to our maps. this time over to the bw parkway and route 50. heading through cheverly, you're going to be fine all the way to the northeast corridor. all your anacostia and potomac crossings are incident free. coming in on pennsylvania avenue, that's running smoothly across the anacostia river. there is a structure fire north capital street fort of rhod

time for monika samtani. time saver traffic and a so-so morning so far. >>> it has been a so-so morning. it's been a little bit tough. around town i have several scattered issues. i'm going to start on the east side heading south on the bw parkway. the accident cleanup continues so you know that's going to slow you down through this area as you try to get into the northeast corridor and an accident right here north on 295 right at the exit for the 11th street bridge. that's along the right side of the road. now 270 southbound. it's just that slow traffic as you head southbound about 25 miles an hour as you leave frederick. it's going to be most ever the way through urbana into clarksburg before the pace improves. let's take a live look at montrose road southbound 270 looks fine here. it's just going to bunch up just a bit as you head for the point where the lanes divide and for a bit of an uh-oh. right after colesville road. the reason for this delay is an accident and it's blocking two lanes right now. polic
