beavers have moved into san jose. experts say this furry family of three has migrated from the santa cruz mountains to the guadalupe river park in the heart of downtown. these videos were shot by nature photographer and san jose state graduate greg kerekes. he has been monitoring the beaver activity for the past few weeks with a nightvision camera set up near the river bank. sjsu environmental studies professor lynne tulio is excited to see the animals in our city. trulio:"beavers are one of the world's great animal engineers. they build dams and they completely change the hydrology of areas. and, uh, our ecosystems are adapted to what beavers do." cunha: the last time beavers inhabited the santa clara county was in 1855, well over 150 years ago. s so to have them back here at the guadalupe river, what does this mean for our ecosystem? trulio:"i really worry about the beavers in the context of all the trash that comes down our streams during the wintertime."" abc7 news reporter joins us live from san jose. >> good morning, eric. the arraignment for this man will happen later today in santa clara county courtroom. inside the court, the 33 -year-old hamid zaid face as long list of charges. police say zaid was high on drugs easter sunday when he crashed the red oldsmobile into a san jose walmart store front and customers say it did not end this but three got out and starting hitting people including a cashier with a blunt object. the 33-year-old zaid is from seaside near monterey and is an auto mechanic and never been in trouble before according to his mother. he faces a number of charges including hit-and-run charges and suspected assault with a deadly weapon. police still have no motive or answers why this happened. officers say up until this point, getting any information out of zaid has not been easy. >> he is not talking. he has been uncoughive and -- uncooperative so until we can talk and he is will to talk about his state of mind we will not know that information until later. >> this is cell phone video o
