erin o'hearn is live in the satellite center with more on this. >> matt, this is tragic news this morning. we told you in the last half hour that one firefighter had been brought to einstein medical center and we didn't know her condition. we have confirmed that she had passed battling that blaze in the west oak lane section. let's take a look at the video from the scene earlier this morning. the blaze broke out around 3:00 a.m. on the 1600 block of middleton street. now, fortunately all the residents inside the home were able to get out. but, again, that fire started in the basement of that home which is a very, very challenging situation for firefighters. it took them about 30 minutes to get the blaze under control. but unfortunately that female firefighter did not make it. >> fires are naturally hard fire fight for us because the whole upper part of the building is exposed so those conditions are pretty tedious any time our fire department gets a basement fire. >> reporter: again, a tragic warning. we have learned that that female firefighter did die in that blaze. we have a crew ling

our erin o'hearn is live at the big board. she's got those breaking details. good morning. >> good morning. this is just coming into "action news." a drexel university student was apparently stabbed and rushed to the hospital. let's take a look at some live video of the scene right now. you can see the police car lights flashing in the background there and they have crime scene tape and that is right on campus. it happened around 3:30 this morning in the 3300 block of race street. that's in the university section of philadelphia. according to police, the student was involved in a fight with two other students. that's when he was stabbed in the back. he was rushed to the hospital of the university of pennsylvania in fair condition. this all happened near myers hall as we said on campus. now, drexel university police responded and are questioning two people at this time. again, according to police, the drexel student was stabbed in the back during a fight around 3:30 this morning in university city. he is in fair condition. of course, we will keep you updated on

erin o'hearn has been on this story. she joins us live at the big board. she's got more. good morning, erin. >> good morning, tam. there are so many tragic parts to the story. perhaps the most heartbreaking there are two little girls who no longer have parents. the body of 35-year-old former marine reservist bradley stone was found in this wooded area and that's about a half a mile away from his pennsburg home. apparently he had stabbed himself to death after first killing his ex-wife, nicole, and five of his former in-laws and nicole stone had told neighbors that she feared one day her ex-husband would kill her. bradley stone faced several driving under the influence charges but montgomery county d.a. risa vetri furman said there was no evidence that suffered from posttraumatic stress disorder. he did not physically harm the girls during this killing spree in fact, he left them at a neighbor's house after he murdered their mother. now several hundred people gathered at the emanuel lutheran church in souderton last night. they prayed for the six people killed in the mass

erin o'hearn joins us lie at the big board with that story. >> matt let's take a look at this map because it will give you a clearer picture as to how close these church arson were to each other. the trail of fires began at the healing hands christian church and that's in the 500 block of berry town road just before 2:00 a.m. now, while firefighters were battling that blaze, the manship chapel went up in flames. that's about 4 miles away from the healing hands church. then around 5:30 a.m., a third church, the laws mennonite church suffered the same fate resulting in roughly $10,000 worth of damage. now, everything is just charred. many of the items here unrecognizable. you can imagine how emotional this is for members of each of the churches. fortunately, one of the churches suffered far less damage but the worst off was healing hands. it had a total loss -- it was a total loss and the fire caused about $75,000 in damage, devastating news for this community right before the holidays. >> we need a place now for sunday morning service and right now we don't have one. but we depending on go

erin o'hearn is live at the big board. she's got breaking details. >> good morning. this is just coming into "action news." a drexel university student was apparently stabbed and rushed to the hospital. let's take a look at some live video right now of the scene. you can see it's still pretty active there with those lights flashing in the background and that crime scene tape up. this happened around 3:30 this morning on the 3300 block of race street and that's in the university section of philadelphia. according to police, the student was involved in a fight with two other students. that's when he was stabbed in the back. he was rushed to the hospital of the university of pennsylvania. we understand he is in fair condition at the moment. it happened near myers hall on campus. drexel university police responded and are questioning two people at this time. again, according to police, a drexel student was stabbed in the back during a fight around 3:30 this morning in university city. he's in fair condition in the hospital of. of course we'll keep you updated on his cond
