>> good evening, scott sanchez, planning department, just to respond to a couple of points, first in regards to the concerns about blight, after the collapse of the building, i did meet with the department of building inspection, they had in there -- and inspector duf if can get the terms right there's the engineer of the project sponsor, there was also the enbacker engineer for the adjacent project, there were meetings to discuss this, it was determined that the retaining walls, the foundation work needed to be done in order to stabilize the hillside so that was authorized by the department of building inspection, i concurred with that. it was necessary for safety of the community, that was allowed to continue, but no work beyond what was necessary to stabilize the site was allowed so after the stabilization was completed, they submitted the building permit application which is now on appeal before you today my understanding they've largely been stopped for some number of months and maybe the sponsor can address that as well. we agree this is a demolition per the requirements of sec

so, had gone to francis scott key elementary school, hoover middle school, lowell high school and am just so proud to be able to come back full circle to support a lot of those schools that i went to and be part of that community in a very integral way. >> so, you spent most of your life in san francisco. why did you choose to live in the city? >> well, first of all, my parents decided to move us to the sunset district because they really wanted my brother and i to have a really good and safe r growing up. there were a lot of children and families in the sunset district and i think they felt like it would be the best environment for us to grow up. so, we ended up staying out there and fell in love with it and have a lot of pride after especially working for the sunset district as the electricity i have aide to supervisor chiu for over five years. and working with -- very intimately with a lot of community members, the merchants, our local residents who have, you know, interest in things such as public safety or public transportation, our school communities, our parks and play grounds

putting proposition e i think of the alphabet, to convince everybody this was going to be better and scott you know for small businesses you create a million dollar exemption. that is pretty good and supportive and i know mary and everybody else here knows that we have been and wanting to make sure that we reflected our support for all of our small businesses while we change a tax structure that really inintized job creation. i am still passionate as three years ago about getting good jobs out there and as we see the innovation going on in our city combined with i think the investor confidence that we have in the business community we're seeing a huge surge in job creation. we can then make sure on the promises to our youth that they're really going to have a good time if they stay with us and continue their education and by the way businesses is investing in education as well at the same time, and so is our great successful business leaders that you've heard this past week and too and philanthropy is also on the great rise and this is all part of that great story that a business friendly,

in my capacity as president last year i worked closely with supervisor eric mar and scott weiner on the hotly contested sugar tax. i helped gal have anize the medical community and worked tirelessly on community outreach on this issue. i would also like to mention i have been a life long champion of the underserved in health care access. i have been working as a dermatologist for asian health services, which is a community health clinic located in downtown oakland which serves the under served asian community. in that capacity i started the dermatology service 10 years ago because there was no dermatologist working for that clinic, and the wait time to see me at that time was about 6 months to 9 months because i was the only dermatologist. certainly a wide cachement area. i am happy to say now patients can get a dermatology consult with me within 48 to 72 hours through kelly dermatology. >> what do you see as what you'd like to be able to accomplish on the health authority and what would you probably learn the most from that experience? >> i think that's a big topic. i think there is a
