. good morning. good to be with you. i'm anne-marie green. the university or rather the bloody arrest of a university of virginia student is sparking outrage on campus and has gotten the attention of the governor. marqise johnson, a third year student at uva was arrested thursday morning by the state's alcoholic beverage control agency. a photograph shows johnson pinned on the sidewalk with blood gushing from a wound on his head. he was bell lidge rant after being turned away from a bar. about a thousand students demonstrated on campus wednesday night. they used an outdoor amphitheater to sound the call for justice. a tearful marqise johnson was under arrest. he said it was unacceptable. a witness said an alcoholic beverage control officer grabbed johnson by the arm after a bouncer stopped athe 20-year-old from entering the bar. johnson asked the officers to let go of his arm and tried to pull away. that's when he was brought to the ground hitting his head on the sidewalk. johnson was treated at a hospital and charged with obstruction of justice and public swearing or intoxication. snook

wednesday, march 25th, 2015. good morning. good to be with you. i'm anne-marie green. this morning recovery teams and investigators resume their search in a remote area of the french alps where a german airliner plunged into a mountainside. this is what they face. the german minister calls it a picture of horror. jer managewings flight crashed as it flew to germany. they say the black box voice recorder is damaged but it can still provide information. there were 144 passengers and six crew members on board all presumed dead. there was no distress call from the pilots and the aircraft went through a routine check on monday. >> reporter: this is what's left of a commercial airliner that slammed into a mountainside in the french alps. the germanwings airbus was flying when something went terribly wrong. the plane climbed 32,000 feet. there it stayed for 60 seconds before it began a deep descent which lasted for eight minutes without a distress call. >> we have to investigate properly with all of them with what went wrong. >> either way were trying to solve the many problems they face

investigators from france and ann curry reporting for nbc news. let's start with some details that we know here. at this point i should point out, we got a statement in, a spokesperson for the town of haltern, 40 miles from dusseldorf, they confirmed to my colleague that 16 students and two teachers from a school there were booked on germanwings flight, but it is not yet confirmed they were all on board. classes at the school finished early today, there's a team of first aiders and counselors helping friends and relatives. obviously devastating news to hear the loss of life the loss of potentially young lives here. but this investigation is just beginning. they're not even at the crash site yet. >> we just received reports that they may be arriving in the general vicinity of the crash site and although every aviation accident results in so many injuries of loss of life it is such a tragedy, we have to remember that scheduled airline flying is some of the safest in the world. >> let's talk about some of the details that we know here regarding this. there's a quote from a man who owns a
