thanks for joining me i'm fredricka whitfield. tracking major developments happening today in yemen. sources tell cnn, the u.s. is evacuating 100 special operations forces from the al anod air base. this is over concern the security situation in yemen is deteriorating. we are joined now from baghdad. so the last of the american troops who were stationed there, and of course the embassy was evacuated back in january. are there any u.s. personnel in yemen? >> reporter: well of course the counterterrorism operations in yemen, fred have been surrounded with a lot of mystery. but what we do know at this point from officials, these are the last of u.s. forces there on the ground there, in the process of evacuating as you mentioned. a hundred special operations forces members from the alanad air base. we saw the u.s. embassy there last month, along with other diplomatic missions from the country. and this does come after months of a deteriorating situation. a security situation, and a political crisis in that that seems to be -- is continuing to worsen. now, there is a lot of can concern,

now. >>> good morning again, everyone. thanks for joining me. i'm fredricka whitfield. cnn has learned some of the details surrounding the latest secret service scandal are being questioned. law enforcement continues to investigate what happened at the white house involving two agents. sources tell cnn allegations about drinking and driving, may not be true. joe clancy the new head of the secret service, is expected to appear on capitol hill next week to discuss all of this. ear rip mcpike joining me from the white house. is the direction of this investigation changing? >> i wouldn't say it is changing. there is an investigation. the department of homeland security is investigating, also there will be some talk about this on capitol hill on monday and tuesday, but our latest reporting does contradict or at least diverge from some of the original details. and what we know is that there were two senior secret service agents who were at a retirement party for one of the colleagues on march 4th at a bar in chinatown about 7 blocks due east of the white house. at the end of the even

. i'm fredricka whitfield. major developments in the deadly germanwings crash. we now know the name of the plane's captain. a relative confirms his identity as patrick sondenheimer, can be heard trying to bang down the cockpit door as the "new york times" reports that the co pilot, andreas lubitz sought treatment for vision problems before the crash. another piece of the puzzle as investigators try to determine what may have driven lubitz to crash the plane intentionally. officials found a ripped up doctor's note in his apartment declaring him unfit to work. and that he had a mental illness which he kept secret from the airline. this as crews rush to recover the remains of the victims. they say they are making some progress and the weather at the crash site is now improving. the crash has reignited the debate over cameras inside the airplane cockpit. some say it's a good idea. others consider it a violation of private policy. >> reporter: andreas lubitz had locked himself alone in the cockpit as the captain pounded on the door. now safety experts are calling for a bold move to avoid an
