my colleague nbc 10 sheena parveen is here with a look at county-by-county snowfalls. >> the snow is still falling and depending where you live will determine if you will expect to see more inches accumulating. so we have the light snow to the north through the lehigh valley and parts of delaware and south jersey. so we'll zoom in to south jersey and cape may county including parts of ocean county. we've seen anywhere from a trace to three inches so far so more improvements now since it's been accumulating but we do expect two to four inches more before it's all done later today. for parts of northern delaware in salem and cumberland counties we've seen two inches to seven inches and two to three more inches expected here. philadelphia area 4.5 to 6 inches so far and two to three more inches and for bucks and montgomery county we've seen -- and for the lehigh valley we've seen 5 to 8 1/2 inches and coming up, we'll show you the timing and how cold it will be as we go into tonight. that's straight ahead. >>> crews at philadelphia international airport loaded snow into dumpsters after

nbc10 first alert meteorologist sheena parveen is tracking that storm. what can we expect tonight? >> tonight we can still expect the rain to continue so a rainy evening commute for most of the area. if you're up in the poconos, that's where you're seeing the snow falling. the rest of us dealing with pretty consistent rainfall especially around 95. so the major interstates are on the wet side. here's a live look at blue mountain ski resort. we've been seeing the snow falling pretty much all afternoon. mostly those late afternoon hours. you see it's still falling now. those higher elevations, that's where we continue to expect the snowfall. now, the rain shown in green. from trenton up to wilmington, we see lighter rain up into new jersey. this will stay around as we go through the next several hours. even through later on tonight. big temperature difference though, with what's happening with the snow up in the poconos. temperatures below allentown. dover, 63 degrees. big contrast from north to south. as we go through the rest of the evening, 6 p.m. we'll have showers around tempera

meteorologist sheena parveen is here. we know the groundhog said six more weeks of winter but we're past that. >> it's time for us to start warming up. we will have a brief warm-up in the forecast but we also have some spring showers in the forecast, too. not tonight, not this afternoon. in fact, all the clouds we had today, those are quickly clearing. finally for the evening hours, we are starting to see a lot more sunshine. there's a live look at the comcast building in philadelphia. right now in philadelphia, we jumped up to 39 degrees. we've been mostly in the mid-30s all day today. now that the sun is coming out, temperatures are starting to warm up. at least a little bit. and i mentioned those spring showers. we have some rain off to our west, so one weather system we're watching tomorrow we could have a chance of showers. later in the week that's what we expect even more rain to be moving in. and they'll have that brief warm-up, too. as for this evening, for the rest of tonight, by 6 p.m. temperatures should be aro

. >> nbc10 first alert meteorologist sheena parveen is back and tracking showers for us. >> that's right. the rain is going to continue for us for the evening commute. will continue overnight and even for tomorrow morning. not for everyone but for some of us. here is a look at the radar. we have all of this light rain pretty much blanketing the entire area. south jersey and delaware where you see the green, you see that lighter rainfall. it will hang around for a while. even from newark wilmington up to trenton along the major intersections. the rain is still falling so a slower evening commute. from the lehigh valley across 478, 476, we're seeing wet roads because of the rain. a lot of moisture off to our west. this still has to move through before we actually dry out. the rain is lowering temperatures quite a bit. mid-40s through lau la. mid-50s in philadelphia. and we will stay fairly mild as this rain continues leveling out around the mid-40s. by 6:00 tonight, rain. by 8:00 tonight, rain. temperatures around 50 degrees. even by 10:00 tonight we are still looking at that rain in the f

what to department for the rest of the night and what to wake up to sheena parveen is tracking it all for us. >> a heavier rain today, thunderstorms with quite a bit of lightning and things are quieting down now. most of this is on the lighter side. parts of montgomery and bucks county into parts of newcastle county in delaware. you see the lighter rain shown by green, but we're watching an area of rain around washington and baltimore. some of this is a little heavy year and i think it will be moving in as we go overnight tonight and some showers linkering for tomorrow. the future weather continues moving in. if this is how early you're leaving we're looking at scattered showers around the area. temperatures here should be around the mid 40s. the clouds still around and around the philadelphia area and anywhere along i-95 47 to 48 degrees in the morning. temperatures here in the mid to low 40s. some models are trying to pick up on a brief period of snow falling. i'll have more details on that and colder air moving in for the weekend. >> to a developing story in new york city 19 people

so let's talk to nbc10 first alert meteorologist sheena parveen. we're in for more warm weather, right? >> we're in for seasonable weather as we go into the next several days. so, yes, but not as warm as today. today was a bit of an exception. yesterday, same thing. we were in the upper 50s. today we're at 60 degrees in philadelphia. we've already hit 61. low 60s still in south jersey. 62 in atlantic city and millvale. 60 degrees in dover. mid to low 50s north and west. 50 degrees in mt. pocono right now. yes, it is a warmer day today. but come tomorrow and the next several days we'll be around what's considered average for this time of the year. rain down to our south at the moment so we'll stay dry for the rest of tonight. even tomorrow. tomorrow will be a nice day. just about 10 degrees cooler than today. now, for the rest of the evening, we'll continue to see those skies clearing up by 6 p.m., right around 57 degrees. so, you can call that warm as we go through this evening. 8 p.m., around 52 degrees, fairly mild. even by 10:00, temperature aro

nbc10 meteorologist sheena parveen joins us now. >> feels so warm out there. but these are actually normal temperatures for this time of year or right about normal? >> yeah pretty much. normal high is around 50 degrees. in parts of the area we were around 50. most of the area a little above that. so a mild day today. temperatures are still sitting above what's considered average. that 50-degree mark. 56 in philadelphia. atlantic city, 55 degrees. millvale and dover, 55 in wilmington. areas in the lehigh valley still hanging around 50 degrees. so remember the sunset now is one hour later because of the time change. so by 7 p.m. tonight, we'll still have some sunlight as that sun is setting. 53 degrees. still fairly mild when you compare it to previous days. by 9 p.m. tonight, around 47 degrees. by 11:00, you'll notice the clouds increasing. temperatures in the low 40s. all those clouds will be ahead of rain. that's pretty far down to the south. but as we go into your tuesday, the rain gets closer and especially through the afternoon. we will be dealing with a r

see the 5:00 temperature sheena shows you and see if it's higher than 37. 5-mile-an-hour wind that's all. and the temperatures, well we were in the 30s so far today. tomorrow 48. near 70 on thursday. but then is goes back down. so, we have one day of above average temperatures before things change. 44 degrees in allentown. it's been a couple hours of sunshine and see what effect that strong late march sun can have. and take a look at how warm the air is. 70 degrees in the forecast. not extreme when it's 75 right now in nashville. 76 in little rock. it's 81 in dallas. just one little surge of summer air and it's up near 70. but then the winds change and it gets cold again. here comes the sunshine with the clouds moving from north to south. another area of moisture out to the west. that's going to effect us tomorrow especially north of philadelphia. that's generally on the lighter side. on thursday we'll see the more significant rain. we could get one batch in the morning. then a break allowing the temperature to get up near 70. ahead of this line of showers and thunderstorms. you saw
