straight to storm team4 meteorologist veronica johnson. when are we talking? >> we have just regular rain showers on the radar right now but there's a possibility we could see some isolated thunder with these as they move in and through the area over the next couple of hours. i do not think that we'll have any severe weather moving through, but hey, you sure notice the clouds moving in right? started out with lots of sunshine this morning. look at this, clouds just marching eastward into our area. now of course seeing rain showing up mainly falkier county culpeper, madison, even green county. it's all sliding from northwest to east-southeast toward areas like manassas and fred bikzrizburg. i'm tracking this heavier area just west of warrenton. it's making its way toward areas like cordova, brandy station, remington by 4:11. we'll see a lot more rain showing up and we're not done with the rain. i'll show you when rain returns, could be just before the weekend is over with. guys? >>> a martial arts instructor who taught local children is facing child pornography charges. montgomery cou

team4. >> veronica johnson is in the weather center. how much more are we going to get? >> a little more. it will be a sloppy afternoon and evening rush. the rain has been covering the radar ever since early this morning from light showers north to more moderate, heavy rains to the south. of course, storm team4 told you about that yesterday, that we were going to see areas at least south of d.c. getting the more moderate rains. you can see by the dark greens, the yellows showing up. they're the moderate and heavy rains, fredericksburg all this advancing north-northeast ward. we're seeing it pufl into clinton, maryland, oxen hill, annapolis and bowie. anywhere from 1/2 to 3/4 inch, maybe a 1/10 or 14 inch more. if you're going out this evening, wet roidads for a while. and yes more rain in the forecast. >>> heavy rain and flooding kaizing major head dsaches for drivers in charleston, west virginia. some spots saw as much as 3 inches of rain. some found themselves stranded as they tried to drive through it. police shut down roads. rivers and creeks rose but the problems were mainly co

team4 and the chance of more rain on the way. >> let's go straight to storm team4 meteorologist veronica johnson in the storm center. i'm hoping for it because we need the pollen to wash away. >> that we do. of course, the pollen has been blowing all around today. it's been breezy breezy sunshine and cooler today. nowhere near the 80 degree warmth we had across the area yesterday. satellite and radar, we are in the clear here, watching some showers well to the west across areas of northern virginia. i think very late, around 9:00, 10:00, there might be a sprinkle around the border of maryland and pennsylvania, could sneak down as far south as frederick county maryland. not a big deal at all. it's the showers that will come tomorrow, especially this time tomorrow, could even be isolated thunder. look at the wind around 20 miles per hour it's really brought up the pollen count. very high today the tree count and oak is way high on the list. meanwhile, we have showers to talk about and showers to talk about, meteor showers. when you can see those i'll give you the details. >>> we are just n

. let's go to storm team 4 meteorologist veronica johnson. how cloudy is it? >> fairly cloudy. the clouds holding down the temperatures today. we have been in the upper 50s to right around 60 degrees. looking at satellite and radar, last couple of hours. see those clouds moving in from northwest to southeast. all the way down into areas of southern maryland. central virginia the clean, that's where we're seeing showers now and this area will inch just a little more to the south and east and could be some isolated showers coming into the area. leesburg frederick, hagerstown and western maryland right now. and the wind not helping any either. winds up around 20 miles per hour. gusting a little higher and those winds still start to diminish but not until late so we have got some milder days ahead and the potential also for a coastal storm system. i'll show you when and how much rain and wind that could bring to the area. >> thank you. >>> we'll go back live now to the situation in baltimore. it's a tense situation right now where police have encountered groups of youngsters trying to keep th
