what we know about this. good morning. >> reporter: well, good morning aaron. pretty tense moments as five firefighters called out a mayday early this morning in this fire on leaks lot way. you can see the frames traveling across the top of this home. it was really touch and go there for a while. fortunately the firefighters did get out. there was a partial collapse of the roof. that's what caused the scare here earlier in the overnight hours. those five firefighters were able to get out okay. they were taken to the hospital as a precaution and we're told that they don't have any burns or serious injuries. now, the homeowner apparently had a fire going in the fireplace. that caused a chimney fire which then extended to the roof. the roof is made out of wood shingles so once the fire got up into the roof line area, the attic area, it really got going. now, just a short time ago all the firefighters and fire equipment left the scene so the flames are out at this point. but there's extensive damage to the home. estimated at about $800,000. aaron, back to you in the studio. >> megan, t
