the bandidos are a tier two threat, the second most dangerous classification, as speculation grows as to what sparked the fight along with concerns by police more gang members could be headed to texas for retaliation. police are only say it started in a bathroom of the twin peaks restaurant. the bikers killed have not been identified at this point. the restaurant's national headquarters revoked the franchise rights late yesterday. nbc's charles hadlock joins me with more. let's first talk about the ongoing threats and concern more bikers could be headed that way. is that something that's on social media, is this a credible threat, what do we know? >> they were hearing intelligence there was a green light for other gang members to open fire on anyone in uniform, but now a new bulletin has been issued saying after interviewing more than 200 people associated with the gang after the shootings, they now say that the retaliation is against other gang members and not necessarily police. so they are backing away from that statement at the moment, tamron. >> at this point they believe this

deadly texas shootout. officials issuing a bulletin saying members of the bandidos are looking to retaliate against troopers and other officials possibly with car bombs. >> reporter: carol, this new threat warns of possible plots targeting high ranking law enforcement officials with car bombs and it even mentioned possibly targeting their families. the texas department of public safety issued a warning saying that certain bandidos members are giving the group c-4 explosives and grenades to be used to retaliate against police for the deadly shootout that happened here over the weekend. the bulletin does name some specific locations namely the mclean county jail in waco and several cities in texas, houston, el paso and austin to name a few. the bulletin is based on unsubstantiated information from an informant who claims to have obtained it from the bandidos and another group called the black widows. police here in waco texas, say they are aware of this new threat. they have already been on alert following the shooting. what they would not say is what if anything they will be doing

hearing that this may all have started over patches worn on bikers' jackets. the bandidos gang apparently say this is part of texas and took offense to the cossachs wearing a texas patch. do you believe that? >> i believe that. territory is extremely important. anybody that's claiming a state they're claiming what goes on in that state. they're claiming ownership of it. and texas has always been a red and gold state. it's always been bandido controlled and for a group like the cossacks to step up to them it's basically like a slap in the face to them saying we don't respect you. we're equal to you and we are as much entitled to this state as you are. >> you guys heard billy say that he doesn't believe there's going to be anymore violence like there was, that no one will be shooting at police officers and so on. do you guys agree with that? >> i agree with that. i don't think these guys are that stupid to do that. terry? >> i agree that you won't see overt, in my opinion, violence. but you've got to understand it. there are people who will try to curry favor with these gangs tha
