jeb bush was equally critical of mr. trump saying, do we want to win? do we want to insult 53% of all voters? jeb bush making those comments at the red state gathering. eric erickson the leader of that group disinvited donald trump to attend. the wall street journal editorial board blames eric erickson for the rise of donald trump and say, this is too much for mr. erickson though it is fair to ask what took them so long. that is what donald trump does. approvingly wrote that the number one thing you hear when you ask any republican about donald trump is this, he fights. , eric erickson wrote that while he would not vote for him unless he became the nominee , donald trump is a nontraditional candidate running a nontraditional campaign and kicking the asses of traditional campaign consultants. they can make a political argument beyond calling everyone terrific or stupid. yet with donald trump dominating media coverage they are not getting the hearing they deserve and mr. trump was guarantee gop debate -- defeat next year if you ran as a third-party spoile

there is no doubt that mr. trump is more than just a flash in the pan. even former florida governor jeb bush is calling him a quote, unquote, phenomenon, but if i was making adiction i think we're about to see a battle of the board rooms between mr. trump and former hewlett-packard ceo carly fiorina who performed amazingly at the under card debate and is poised to be on the main stage at the second republican presidential debate, and i think that she is a political outsider that is definitely going to get a look from voters, and we could see a showdown between mr. trump and carly fiorina. >> can't wait to talk to you after the debate. right now i want to take a look at a new fox news poll looking at the shake-up in the gop field after the first debate as well as a peek into the democratic field. who is up, ben carson, ted cruz and carly fiorina and down senator rand paul and bob jush and wisconsin governor scott walker and on to democrats quickly vermont senator bernie sanders continues to make gains on former secretary of state hillary clinton as you ha

the thing i am looking for that relates to that is trump. mr. trump is going to the fair tomorrow. john: do you think you will break through? mark: he will break through. he is bringing his helicopter. still questions about whether people will get free rides, but trump dominates no matter what. my question is, does anyone try to get into the storyline, or do they just basically say if trump brings his helicopter to the fair, surrender. john: he is flying a helicopter into des moines. he is going to get off the helicopter and stand with the butter cow. you will see the picture and footage of trump with that butter cow for 48 hours straight on cable. here is the other thing i will be looking at on the democratic side -- hillary clinton will be here. we will see her at this dinner tomorrow night up in clearlake. she will be with other democratic candidates. it's weird, right? iowa, the state that humbled her in 2008, is now the state she is counting on to stop bernie sanders. she still has a lead here over sanders. she is losing to him in new hampshire. suddenly, this is her firewall.

what do you make of the fact that mr. trump appears to be getting very serious? >> it is a natural next step, and he will continue to do well, the combination of policy and populism. he will call for tax increases and closing closing the loophole whereby hedge funds and venture capitalists carry interest, capital gains rate instead of a higher rate of income tax. i will bet that donald trump probably hits a gusher on this combination of clarity and populism. >> here is the thing to me does not get pressure because he is finding his own campaign. that's why people are so attracted to what he is saying and what his policy proposals are. they do not come prepackaged from anybody. >> while that's true. it's a little inconsistent. he raised his own taxes and taxes on hedge funds. obama said that we would call it socialism. i'm anxious to see what he comes out with, wondering who is preparing it for him. he can hire the best minds and finances to come up with a great tax plan, so i'm anxious to see what he says and if it is consistent with some of the statements he has

so joining us now from his new york city headquarters is mr. trump. first of all, why do you think the stock market is going down? >> well, you look at what's going on with china or generally with asia and, you know, i have been saying for a long time on your show and on anybody else that wanted to listen that we're tieing ourself so closely to asia and, in particular, to china, that this is going to be trouble for our country. and not only now have they taken our jobs and they are taking our base and they have taken our manufacturing, but now they are pulling us down with them. i said we can't do this. we can't allow this to happen. and we have to do a big uncoupling pretty soon before it's too late. i have been saying this for a long time, bill. >> do you have any feeling why the chinese economy is collapsing? do you have any knowledge of it at all? >> because it's funny money. they devalue their currency constantly in order to take our jobs and lots of other countries' jobs frankly. they have done a pretty big number in europe, too. not as big as t
