nbc bay area's christie smith is live in san francisco. first, let's go to meteorologist anthony slaughter who what is going on right now. anthony? >> reporter: as you mentioned, terry, the rain has been coming down all day long. here is a time lapse from ocean beach. you can see they're out in the rain enjoying rain drops. things started to clear out at the beach and even in san francisco. close to an inch of rain. even in sausalito over mill valley, 2 inches. mt. tam got up to 4 inches. santa rosa got a little less than 3/4 of an inch. even over near moraga, a little less than that as well. the east bay and the south bay didn't see much in the storm. about a quarter inch or less. even los gatos got about 3/10. santa cruz, over an inch. so it's still coming down right now in some parts of the bay area. and it's light for the most part. and this is going to be just ready for the next round that is expected to move through the next couple hours. in fact, you can see that plume of moisture sitting off the coast. that's our next storm system
