we know? tom: the crash happened in december of 2014, the ntsb said at the time it could take a year for the investigation to be complete. it took a year and a month. one of the new things we've gotten is new pictures of exactly where the engine of the jet that crashed into a gaithersburg neighborhood landed. you can see the number two engine here. nurm one here. a mother and others died when it crammed. the big thing we have learned from hundreds of pages of the documents that the ntsb released today is that the ntsb investigators believe ice may have been a factor in this jet crash. i was a cold early december day. when this happened there were reports of other planes having icing issues in the area. there was a deicing switch according to the documents was not -- de-icing switch according to the documents that was not turned on. they had it turned on earlier and a stall warning would have gone off and it could have given him time to still land instead of crashing in the neighborhood. short of the runway. total of six people dying in this crash. tragedy. the ntsb saying they believ
