i know kari hall has been reporting other flashes. this is in the golden gate bridge, the northern part of san francisco. the richmond district area. at least according to our doppler radar, which gives you a sense. that is where a lot of the rain is right now we know there is a light in livermore and the concord o, martinez and perhaps in the bay bridge area, as well. but, again, we've been driving throughout the morning and we've been on the roads, i have been on the road since 3:30. livermore through castro valley and down to san jose and across the dumbarton bridge and back to 880 and now to castro valley and, again, the rain has been intermittent at best and when we cross the dumbarton bridge, the winds were light. we are in a high-profile vehicle and not a situation where we're getting tossed about. good news if you're trying to get on the road and get out to work, you'll have to deal with the normal grind of traffic, but at least in the areas i was just mentioning, we're not seeing the weather having a tremendous impact. that b

i'm meteorologist, kari hall taking a look at the outer sunset. you do have more clouds throughout the day. that is what we will see throughout the afternoon, the sun peeking through and it will be very warm. the peninsula is at 50 degrees, also 50 in the south bay. a closer look at the east bay now, 43 degrees at livermore and alamo, 76 degrees. highs topping out in the mid to upper 70s for the south bay. the peninsula is looking at 44 degrees for san francisco and foster city and 70 in santa rosa. oakland a high of 41 degrees and 75 today in danville. let's see what's happening on the roads with mike. >> starting in the north bay, the san rafael bridge richmond side to the north. we'll show you the map. this is a pretty typical build but there was a crash in the area but couldn't see it on the shot. you just have your study on the north bay and east bay getting over the bay bridge, and down through the caldecott, the tunnel is clear and westbound, 580. there is a flat section close to the san mateo bridge. the high-rise looks good but the northb

for that let's turn to meteorologist kari hall tracking the latest forecast for us. >> it is still chilly and temperatures today on the cool side and still with the breezy wind and that will make you feel better. it will be up to 58 degrees in san jose and in the lower eight we're looking at 57 degrees and 57 in napa and brentwood 59 degrees and pleasanton could expect a high of 57 degrees. our temperatures going up each day this week feeling much warmer as we check the dry weather. i'll detail that and what to expect heading into super bowl sunday. let's see what is happening on the roadways with mike. >> so cold our cameras are shivering. 88 past the coliseum. an easy drive right now but the gusts of wind catching the camera and then the higher elevations throughout the bay and look over towards the camera at the bay bridge where you see the span itself moves very well. again, the camera in emoriville. the vhp warned about the bay area bridges. out in dublin, we see no problem for the wind right here and we do see a good amount of cars, still, you're at the limit. >> thank you very much

kari hall joining us now and it's really affecting visibility, kari. >> it will make the drive a lot harder this morning. i was just driving and almost getting lost on the normal route i take every day. now the visibility in napa and oakland is down to a quarter of a mile. very low visibility there. also in san carlos is down to about three quarters of a mile in san jose about a mile. all clears out this afternoon and warm temperatures reaching the mid to upper 70s today. much warmer than yesterday. and we will be up to 74 degrees today in oakland. i'll talk more about this and our next chance of rain coming up. how is it looking else where, mike? >> kari, we talked about the stopping distance and the visibility is okay at stopping distance and there's the north bay. i do want to take you out to the roadway and show you what cameras are live in south san jose and bob drove through the area. you can see enough for the stopping distance but you can't see the signs all the time and that will be disorienting. we will end with a shot of oakland. look towards the oakland camera and right u

meteorologist kari hall joining us now with a lack at visibility this morning. good morning. >> good morning. we start out with low visibility and many spots across the bay area with the exception of parts of the north bay and the tri-valley. now looking at the south bay, it is 54 degrees and visibility down to a mile and a quarter. little bit lower in some spots like oakland and today's forecast we'll see highs well above reaching into the low to mid-70s. a beautiful afternoon after this foggy start. seeinga lot of lights and flashing lights on that camera in fremont. mike, what is happening there. >> i tilted down and have to give us the best possible view there. a light in the parking lot for the structure that we have and just across the screen heading south and this is at west warren just before you get to mission boulevard on the southbound side of o880. one lane blocked and we have two lanes blocked for about ten minutes. word is that there is a car over off its wheels and that will take a while to clear and heading down mission. 680 is clear and getting
