breaking news in west philadelphia. two police officers hurt after a suspected drunk driver cashed into their police wagon. nbc's drew smith live at the scene. drew, what's happening now. >> good morning. accident investigators are still working this scene. you can see there are three cars out here. that's what was involved in this about an hour and a half ago at the corner of 52nd and chestnut street in west philadelphia. the suv, police tell us, was driven by a drunk driver who smashed spot back of a police wagon heading south on 52nd. that sent off a chain reaction crash which then pushed the police wagon into one of the police cruisers that you see here. we're told that the driver was suspected of being under the influence, was taken to mercy hospital. he had minor injuries. two of the officers in the wagon also had minor injuries. they are currently at presbyterian hospital. the officer in the third car you see here was not injured. they have been investigating this since about 4:30 this morning. we're told charges

feels like 29 degrees in philadelphia. so definitely a coat needed this morning when you are walking outside but it will be a different story later on in the day. we did have 60's last week, early last week and then it got chilly. we have snow on friday, we have only 42 degrees for a high on saturday and 47 was our high yesterday. we will take quite a jump to day. by wednesday we will talk about breaking records in philadelphia, wilmington, trenton, atlantic city, all these places, these are record standing from wednesday's date including the 73 in philadelphia where we're calling for 75, and ten out of zero on wednesday but we will work our way up to it with 60 degrees today. sixty-eight tomorrow. seventy-five on wednesday and maybe even milder on thursday. the not quite as warm on friday but still quite pleasant with a high of 66. it is not until weekend that we will get decent rain. yeah, that would be on sunday. that is in the forecast for right now but as we said, it is early, we have a chance to work on that and try

philadelphia coming in at 60. allentown at 67. atlantic city and 62. this is pretty much through the whole area. upper 50s to low 60s. keep in mind we're still in winter. the normal high, 60. that's where we should be. unseasonably warm. 82 was the record high. we expect 80. that would be another record high. then the rain overnight. friday, we get around 68 degrees and by saturday, mid-60s. so cooler changes. when you compare it to where we should be, we estill well above normal. high pressure to our south giving us a warm air mass. now we see the cold front getting closer. overnight tonight that will start to move through and the colder air will move in behind it. now we're looking at 11:00, light rain. by 5:00 tomorrow morning if this is the time you start driving through south jersey and delaware, that's where we'll see most of the rain. not expecting thunderstorms. temperatures in the 50s. we do start to clear out for most of the morning commute. for today, record warmth, we stay dry until later on tonight. temperatures right around 80 degrees. so
