brian flores in our newsroom now to tell us what's happening today in the case. >>> the funeral for the victims in this case will be held later today. the oldest son we talked about accused of killing them will make his first appearance in court. the evergreen community where this took place remains shaken up. the suspect was arrested yesterday. they are facing murder charges for killing their parents last sunday. the main question everyone wants to know is why. he gave a jailhouse interview to the san francisco chronicle and he says his younger brother is innocent but would not comment on his own guilt or innocence. police say the two brothers shot and killed their parents inside the home in ever green neighborhood. one neighbor talked to us but didn't want to show her face. >> they are a normal family and live a private life. we don't get a chance to hang out with them a lot. they appeared normal. >> police arrested them on wednesday. no word on a motive but a source confirms to ktvu at least three messages written in ink and scrolled on the floor and walls near the bodies. he says we

brian flores is in the newsroom. >> reporter: we are working on some of the details and a motive for the shooting. police say one man is being treated at a hospital after being shot late last night, a block from san jose state university. i want to show you what it looks like, where the shooting took place. we have been here since early this morning. this is on williams street and 10th. there is a taco truck just feet away from where the shooting victim was found. there's also a patrol car to the left. this street was blocked off for the investigation but within the past 20 minutes, it looks like it has reopened. san jose police said the shooting happened just after 11 pm last night. this is on williams street and 10th. near the taco truck. when police arrived, they saw a man injured after being shot once. it remains unclear if more shots were fired. emergency crews moved the man to the hospital where at last check he was being treated for serious, life-threatening injuries. that is according to san jose police. a witness who works near the taco truck tells ktvu that it was a drive-b

ktvu's brian flores in our newsroom to tell us how the police plan to catch them. brian. >> yeah, dave, san leandro police say targeting windows is one thing. but when it comes to targeting people, it's becoming more dangerous. so in an effort to catch these guys police will be deploying undercover officers and increasing patrols through san leandro. now, the vandals have been targeting car windows mainly since late december. but recently the activity has increased and so has the violence. one of the more recent incidents happened last friday night at about eight in front of the law office bar off the 14000 block of east 14th street. somebody opened fire with a bb-gun and struck a man in the forearm. the victim was taken to a nearby hospital where the bb had to be surgically removed. now, almost two hours later a man who was living first united methodist church off bancroft avenue was struck in the head by reportedly the same suspect. past ten that same night a woman was struck in the hand at an ac transit stop also off east 14th. >> and we worry maybe they will es
