shower or two, we have only seen a couple of drops in napa and sonoma county. it does not have a lot of energy with it, and that's why we have not seen too much activity. here is a look at the stubborn storm i'm calling it off shore. it's 500 miles out in the pacific. and you can see out ahead of the storm system, where we are getting the moisture drawn in to california, there's just not a lot here, in the way of rainfall dropping so, don't expect heavy rainfall tonight, but still a chance here of scattered showers as we look ahead towards tomorrow. so, you will see in our morning forecast as we look at thursday, the south bay begins at 54. not the coldest morning in recent memory. 51 in the east bay and by the afternoon, we see temperatures going up to about 70 in the south bay. and it will be similar to what we experience today. 56, and tri-valley 71. what i want to show you next is the hour by hour forecast. this will reinforce the fact that we are not looking at widespread heavy rainfall. you can see at 8:00 in the morning, it's spotty in nature showing up. and through the ening,

and napa county, you could see an afternoon shower or thundershower popping up toward lake county. temperatures staying below average. upper 60s around san jose. low 60s closer to san francisco. north bay temperatures again mid to upper 60s. santa rosa and napa, probably the two locations that have the best chance for showers tomorrow. tuesday into wednesday, another low drops down the central california coast. that could toss a few more showers across the high country. it's going to keep our temperatures down. low 60s. slight rebound approaching thursdays and friday. low 70s toward the end of the week. the tri valley looks similar in those numbers. low 70s approaching memorial day weekend. right now that too, starting to see some changes there. now the models trying to bring it in other northern california. what it means, we'll be keeping those temperatures fairly cool. as we move into next weekend, highs in the same range, upper 60s into low 70s. could still see those afternoon showers here in the sierras. that air is still cold enough, we could still be talking about snow showe

with 94. nice day up into napa and a sunny 89 degrees. so again, warm tomorrow for most of the bay area. it's all getting spark observed by this area of high pressure just offshore. but i want to drive the story into our next weather change and that is that ten-degree increase in temperatures. it looks like that's going to get here once we hit friday's forecast. what we're going to find are dry offshore winds on friday primarily coming out of the east. that's going to dramatically increase the fire threat across napa, orinda, livermore. not super gusty put humidities into single digits as temperatures rise even more not only for the interior valleys but the coastline. won't get super hot at the beaches but we think by friday we'll be up to 77 in tran, well above our average of 65, and as walnut creak expected on friday to hit 100. while it gets hot in interior valleys, the average is 77 degrees. we're still soaring well above way too early. as we head through the weekend forecast, even more changes coming our way. temperatures dropping to 95 on saturday. then by sunday another decr

and napa, you see around 2:00 and 3:00 in the afternoon, a few scattered showers or possibly a few thunder showers on the coastal range monday into tuesday. the north bay will be the areas we watch and areas east of livermore and out towards the delta might see a stray shower or two into tuesday afternoon. temperatures not that different from what we saw this weekend, upper 60s around san jose. low 60s for san francisco and napa and santa rosa tomorrow, mid afternoon a shower off to the north and around the east bay over towards the tri-valley highs in the 60s to low 70s for tomorrow. so this is the area of low pressure that made it breezy and cool for the weekend. it's about to be joined by another area of low pressure. this may set up across the costa central, california which will keep the threat of showers going mainly across the higher valuations from about tuesday into wednesday and you can see the bull's eye for the best rain potential across lake county into the north of santa rosa from tuesday and maybe even into wednesday, as well. watch how it reinforcing the cool patter

low to mid-90s and for the east bay low at 76 and then napa coming in and then once we pass tomorrow we're going to see the area of high pressure that's doing the heat and then on top of that, this week we're in for a potential of 100 degrees. we're going to push away for that and then the area of high pressure is going to combine with the dry offshore winds and that's good enough by friday with the easterly winds in place to bring us 100 degrees of the valley. that pushes the 70s at the coastline. i want to get a closer look at that and then the spread that we're talking about. san francisco by flammable liquid and then walnut creek at 100 as well. we will hold off in the triple digit by friday's forecast. then the larger changes with by the upcoming weekend. saturday we start to see things decrease and then by sunday 88 and also the possibility of thunderstorms now introducing the forecast and for sunday it's not super huge, but again it's a slight chance of scattered activity. beyond this we're looking at maybe the chance of some measurable rainfall. >> thank you jefr. >>

you're heading up to wine country. it's also going to get hotter there with 89 in napa and back into mill valley, 84. we had this area of high pressure building into place but we think it's going to get some added energy by sunday and monday as we get a surge of hotter air moving in from the south. as you'll see in that scrolling seven-day forecast, that's really going to put intear yor valleys into the low 90s. the uv index is going to soar up to a 9 which basically means you can get skin damage in as little as 15 minutes so remember spf 30 and/or higher. once again, the hotter temperatures getting here by memorial day, that will put us at 92 in the south bay on monday. san francisco, 72. 92 in the trivalley. the north bay going up to 90. if you're looking for a way to escape the heat, the good way to do that will be to i don't know maybe sailing on the bay. winds out of the northwest 10 miles per hour. if you want the beach, maybe surf's up for you, waves 2 to 4 feet. expecting the warmest weather on the beaches on monday with 70. maybe you're heading out on the boat. it will get hot on
