for perspective on that day, let's bring in squjim and malco nance. nbc terrorism analyst. you were at the pentagon on 9/11 so this is a moment for you personally as well. can you set the scene for us as well and talk about the agenda today. >> the weather here is exactly like it was on 9/11 some 15 years ago and today for some reason has a strange and impactful feeling. here at the white house the flags are at half staff: the president and first family were going to observe a moment of silence inside the white house privately before the president gets in his motorcade and heads to the pentagon where he will be preside over the ceremony there at the pentagon for the 125 people and 64 aboard the american airlines flight that slammed into the ptagon at 8:47, 15 years ago. i can tell you even today it still seems so surreal. >> you were also there on september 11th. what were your memories? what are your medical mories? >> i was outside of the pentagon and i saw the airplane fly into the building and i acted instinctively and got to the crash site and started helping mobilize.
