feel good about. >> tim kaine, hillary clinton's running mate talking to nbc about the importance of the latinos vote. that brings us to the porpt number of the day. this has to do with the role of latino votes on tuesday and how it could shake up the electoral map in some very unusual way. we say four, what do we mean by that? what we are seeing when we see the number four, take the state of florida, look at the latino vote at this point, four years ago, latinos are counted for 10% of that early vote casted in florida. jump ahead four years later of a four point jump. it is up to 14%. significantly higher this time around. there is a flip side to this. you are seeing a drop off in the black vote. it was 13% of the electoral in florida four years ago down to 11. there maybe some report that this is the dynamic we are seeing. enthusiasm in black voters, remember they turned out in overwhelming numbers for barack obama. >> at the same time, participation for latino voters maybe up. if that's ad dynamic that we se could shake up the electoral map in an unusual way. >> now, black voters

the trump businesses better than anyone. tim o'brien. tim, there are so many things to cover in terms of potential conflicts of interest. you seem to be quite interested in this small sliver, the bracelet. the bracelet ivanka wore on "60 minutes" that a day later her pr team promoted. >> it's a tiny thick. the bracelet in the larger universe of things is irrelevant, but it shows how at every step of the way between now and inauguration day and inaugzeration day and years hence, the trumps will be walking into situations where they can make money off the simple fact donald is going to be in the oval office. the problem we have is we have never had a president walking into the white house who has this wheelbarrow full of businesses like donald trump. it's a completely unusual case, and the current laws and regulations around this aren't really up to snuff. >> so when you look at all the potential conflicts, this web of businesses he has, 500 businesses, 22 countries. what's the most conflicted? >> i think probably tax policy, trade policy, and banking. on banking, those are -- >>

congressman from ohio, tim ryan. doesn't come as much of a surprise that she wins. >> right. >> we sort of expected that she would get this. what's the latest in terms of are they all united behind nancy pelosi or was this election disruptive? >> honestly, this was a bigger group that voted against nancy pelosi and a lot of people expected it. i talked privately with some members in that room who were surprised by the number of people that were willing to vote for paul ryan. 63 is merely one-third of the democratic caucus. i think a lot of members were expecting that number to be considerably lower and even he was surprised at how much support he had and said a lot of members talked to their spouses or family members about what had happened in the election over their thanksgiving dinners and told them that in turn they really wanted them to challenge pelosi. he seemed visibly disappointed and it's about the leadership in the house and various problems and issues and it's also where does the democratic party go from here and that's a hard question to answer for democrats right now.

president could simply overrule that denial and order that security clearance. joining us now, tim mack, senior correspondent for the daily beast. tim, you reported on this extensively in the daily beast today, including the various processes involved in getting the security clearance. what are people telling you about someone like steve bannon going through the process to get a security clearance? >> look, steve bannon raise as lot of regular flags. and what national security experts are telling me, in particular, these experts are experts in getting security clearances is that he would have a bumpy road. he would have a very difficult time getting a top secret clearance if he was anyone else. when you go through this top secret security clearance process, they ask about your foreign tire, whether you have any ties with violent groups, whether you have ever been arrested. and steve bannon has ties to the notorious alt-right. he has ties with far right groups in europe, in germany, in france, and in the past he has been charged with domestic abuse. this was some time ago, though, i

, fighting off channeler ohio congressman, tim ryan. let's go to kasie hunt, she joins us now from capitol hill with the latest. kasie, what can you tell us happened. >> reporter: hey, tamron, tim ryan, the congressman from ohio, mounting a really strork than expected challenge to house leader, nancy pelosi, but she has carried the day, by a vote of 134-63. there were 197 democratic house members and delegates voting in this election. that's just short ofne third of the caucus saying that they want tim ryan to be their leader. and nancy pelosi had been out there saying that she had the support of over two-thirds of the caucus. that is true, but just barely. she has about 68% support. and privately, members in the room are telling me that there's some surprise that ryan got to that level. i think it demonstrates that had potentially one of the members who had been discussed as a potential challenger, congressman joe crowley from new york, was one, could have defeated nancy pelosi in this election. and it says a lot about the levels of discontent inside the caucus, in the wake of those elect
