westchester right on the edge. it felt like it's going to start snowing, and indeed, it won't be long before you start to see that snow. the snow will have a tough time, at least, accommodating, box the ground is still quite warm, but that is going to be changing. as the temperatures cool down, the ground will be cooling down as well. here's the hour-by-hour forecast. this is 5:00 this morning. you see the snow just edging into philadelphia. at that time, all of chester county will be looking at snow. all of lancaster, berks, lehigh, bucks and montgomery county will be seeing snow. and northeast philadelphia it will be snow. but the ground temperatures will still be warm. but not looking at much in the way of accumulation at this point but heavy rain to the south, even potential for thunder and lightning, if it's of course when that happens, that would be thundersnow, otherwise it's a storm. that's going to be the exception. that's 5:00 this morning. now, let's fast forward to 6:00, 7:00, and the storm now sweeps i

here in westchester. we're right along route 3. here in the pavement, it's just wet. a little slippery, not too much. here on the grass, you can see -- i mean, it's more than a dusting. it's definitely more than a dusting. this is just the last 15 minutes when it started snowing. this is route 3, a very busy stretch throughout this part. but a lot of people are heeding the warning that we've been giving them since yesterday. staying off the roads, we're mostly just seeing plows. i did talk to a plow driver nearby fuelling up, he's getting ready for a busy next several hours. we'll have his comments. i do want to tell you, in the last few minutes westchester school district has cancelled all classes for today. and this is my expectation, instead of bringing a ruler out, i brought a yard stick. we have great expectations for this part. we are expecting a lot of snow. at least i am. here in westchester. back to you, guys. >> our team coverage of our nbc10's pamela osborne in allentown. pam, i saw a person la

right now, reading and westchester getting snow as well. you can see that snow is coming down, starting to accumulate. so far, though, ocean city, that is just rain. but now thunder and lightning. we have a thunderstorm that's rolling through the shore. you can see it's just moving through the cape may area, cape may. and to the north. this is tracking to the northeast. those heavier downpours moving through sea isle city. seeing flashings of lightning and hearing more. more thunderstorm activity and possibly even thunderstorm activity with snow. snow is not out of the question. this is now all snow for allentown and reading into chester and montgomery county and bucks county and it's spreading from germantown. also by the radar screen. indeed, it is snow that's coming into the area. and that is starting to spread in northern new jersey castle. in delaware, it's steady and heavier rainfall for much of the morning. so far in wilmington, that is about to change. so, the rain is going to be ending, the snow is going to be accumulating. right n
