sea lion since yesterday afternoon. he was swimming in this concrete canal in vacaville but yesterday he disappeared up into the drainage pipe right there and he has not been seen since. animal control officers are out here this morning and the mammal center will be returning to this area to continue searching for this wayward sea lion. it was yesterday morning when someone passing by spotted the mammal in this concrete spillway. rescue workers worked throughout the day and used air horns trying to coax the animal out of the canal with no luck. experts expect the sea lion probably swam up the sacramento river and took a couple of wrong turns through various water ways and wound up stranded in this spot. the wayward mammal drew a crowd of on lookers yesterday. an unusual spot for a sea lion to be found so far from the coast. >> it is bigger than i thought. i'm guessing maybe 350 pounds. you know. and i'm assuming that it probably has been here longer than people think. because of the fact that it is so big. it has troubl
