trump is barely at 40%. so, yeah, that is historically the lowest we've ever seen in modern time and you can look at that and say, that is a presidency that is in some very unique and some very early peril. that is one possible interpretation here. how about another possible interpretation there? maybe is it possible that the rules have changed, or the rules are different when it comes to donald trump and what these numbers might mean? here's what i mean there. think back to the campaign. think back to the numbers we saw about his approval rating in the campaign, his numbers were historically low. it was unprecedented. we'd never seen, only 35% of people in our poll said he had the temperament to be president. less than 40% said he was qualified. only 40% had a positive opinion of him. we looked at these numbers,lect with these numbers. he did get elected president. he did win the election. he had that core group of supporters. it was just enough. he won the election. so the question becomes, what about that
