east and south. quiet over vallejo with san pablo bay getting rain along with petaluma and moving into marin county. this could be a little overdone on these rainfall projections, a little bit heavy. suffice it to say that some of that will make it down to san jose but far less than 12 100. -- 12/100, and there's not a lot of cold air with this system. you can see the system diving in from the gulf of alaska with that good jet stream support and it will be a blustery day when the system gets through. that cool air will settle in pretty fast with 60s, and the lows are up due to the cloud cover in the breeze. 57 at woodside, 55 hillsborough, los altos hills 59 and 52 in truckee, 53 and ukiah. some rain into the mountains and not a lot for this system. it is giving us rain, and for this time of year, advertised eight days ago when very impressive that it made it here. that system will work its way with leering taking place but cool air on the way behind this front keeping the temperatures well below average. mainly in the northbay rain with lighter amounts to the south, a cooler pattern i

, not too bad for the month of june. we had one third of an inch in petaluma which is impressive, and also in williston mendocino county. the forecast models, at least the ones i mentioned latched onto this eight days ago which is good. this has been coming down consistently in this a beautiful glen ellen sonoma area. also we will focus on glen allen in petaluma, rohnert park in santa rosa and it keeps going over the last six hours. we see the back edge of this so maybe for another 45 minutes before this lightens up but not too bad. the system working his way to the east in over san pablo bay, vallejo and into san francisco. by the time it gets to san jose there probably won't be much left. there are reports of steady rain for a few in marin county and around san rafael. this system will give us like morning rain and keep us on the cool side while it digs in. it will be a blustery day and winds out of the south and it is a front direction and cooler to the north. 60s for most and the cloud cover holding the system up. it is here with light morning rain and 60s to 70s is it. it is cool

friend bubba the tortoise got up early this morning. we have fog in p town. that is petaluma. nice, cool fog and even the desert tortoise appreciates the cooler weather. 90. 87 in petaluma. these are the forecast highs for thursday. fridays will be even more significant with mid-90s, even upper 90s. so the forecasts along the coast still in the upper 60s. a nice one tomorrow. no spare the air day has been issued yet, but this type of pattern will get you a spare the air day. no way around it. i suspect friday, the air quality will issue something for friday and that's when the heat watch begins as well. those things go together. the excessive heat watch that'll stay in effect throughout the week. that generally means there's a lid on the atmosphere and the air quality is going to take a hit. that's where we are. again to the beach it will be warm over the next couple of days with a lot of rip tides out there and a little swell. you'll want to be careful because of the ocean beach. you have 800,000 people over there. it was fun. yes, i was going to say the trolley cart or something, but yeah, you're close. it is always very dangerous. be safe out at the beaches. real hot inland. if you're not used to ocean beaches, i mean -- i mean the water is cold.

at at temperatures. petaluma set 59, leila valley at 54 and calistoga at 67, glen allen at 63 and napa 67. kelseyville rocking it up quickly around 8:00. the heat advisory is out and there is a excessive heat warning, high fire danger, take your pick. multiple warnings and watches. fog forming on the san mateo and santa cruz coast. sometimes on the west side it can get foggy but on the side not so much, and also down toward santa cruz, the monterey area. this system came by giving us some cool weather to ramp up the bald. it went south and off the coast and we get that north wind from cool to warm. remember the days are very warm with the angle of the sun very high giving us that northeast breeze for most. due to the snow still above 8000 feet you get evaporation rates that are off the chart triggering that thunderstorm activity. it dies off at night and picking up later over the mother load. i don't think the flow around this is as positive as last sunday and monday when the thunderstorms rolled through but most of us sang over the crest of the sierra. at the sfo the offshore bre
