. schrader. the speaker pro tempore: the gentleman is recognized for one minute. mr. schrader: i appreciate the gentleman yielding the time. rise in strong support of the f.d.a. re-authorization act. loo could not be more evident the time has come for congress to reckon with the growing problem of exorbitant drug prices. every few months we see the headlines about another extreme price hike. some unscrupe pew luss pharmaceutical c.e.o. buys the rights to produce drugs that have been on the market for decades usually where there are no competitors. then seemingly over night they raise the price atrownomically. drug used by some plans plant patients, a price went from $13.50 a bill to $750. that's outrageous. a price increase of 5,000%. for this drug and many others, the drugs have been off patent for ages. there are no generic competitors on the market. and competition from generic drugs saves patients and the government billions of dollars on a weekly basis. unfortunately, generic drug manufacturers who want to bring these markets to competition ace a long approval process. this

. thank you very much. i yield back. >> the gentle lady yields back and the chair recognizes dr. schrader. five minutes for questions, please. >> mr. holmes, i would love to get into a discussion with you on value based. you may have some good points if it was still a silo-based delivery system and modern medicine and i point out in the aca there are risk adjustments to take that issue away and in oregon, most of our physicians, nurse practitioners and the medicaid chip arena get organizations and we get bundled payments so it's not just the doctor responsible for the outcome and if you had a dentist and mental health provider and they take it upon themselves to make sure they have success. i won't belabor the point. what percentage of community health centers comes from medicaid? >> nationally, it is just under 50%. >> so that's a pretty big number the plans we've heard from the republican colleagues is for the health centers and it would be tough to make up the 50%. you talked about your expansion of services if the republican plans went into effect and you were cut significantly and pa
