ocean city lifeguards intently watching the water. a day after police say the beach patrol members were attacked on duty. the guards heard urgently calling for help from police around 4:30 p.m. on the fourth of july. >> it's sickening. it really is. >> reporter: the drama unfolding in front of the hundreds on people. authorities say it started when the guards asked a group of rowdy seemingly drunk men to calm down.
