this is harvey day but. we will have a harvey day two and a harvey day three. harvey day two could be worse than harvey day one, which is normally a reverse for hurricane. the worst part of it is when the hurricane makes landfall and then it is dissipated, torn up by the surface area and climate condition. this storm will not do that. harvey day two may be as bad as or worse than harvey day one. it will disrupt our ability to do normal search and rescue. so there will be people in their homes now whose homes are surrounded by water, may be in had that water for days and it may take that long to get them rescued, depending on where they are. and harvey day two, there will be more people on the water because the rivers will start backing up, roads will become unpassable and the wind associated with harvey day two may not allow helicopters to fly so we can get into people in rural and isolated areas. the same can be said for harvey day three. so this has a potential to get worse. in the meantime, if you're checking on relatives, text, don't call. leave that bandwi

hurricane harvey category three. let's watch how it loops around and hangs around the texas shoreline around the gulf coast and doesn't move very much. we have an area of high pressure to the north keeping everything pretty much stable and stationary and this is pretty much going to be a huge problem for texas in the upcoming days as we progress and continue to track harvey. here tracking harvey locally, we can see that ridge will break down. as it does, it's going to allow moisture to move into our area and that will allow some rain to move into our area by next week. it's not going to be a huge wash out. but we do have remnants of harvey affecting us here locally. we're going to see 70s and sunshine. very comfortable conditions. ideal i'd say. 77 as the expected high temperature in philadelphia. the average is 78 on sunday. lehigh valley seeing mainly mid-60s. new jersey, upper 70s for you and delaware seeing mid- to upper 70s. certainly a great stretch of weather for the next couple days. follow us on social media

we'll start with what is now tropical storm harvey. this was hurricane harvey yesterday. it's now downgraded to a tropical storm. it's still massive. the center of the storm indicating most of the action sits to the east of the storm's center. look at these rand bands just pounding into houston where some of the heaviest rain is moving through. i can tell you looking through reports from the last 24 hours around the houston area, many places now at a foot or some spots around a foot and a half of rain already accumulated. this is the area today that is probably going to see the worst results of harvey because of all the rain that is to come. they could still see another foot to two feet as we continue through the next several days. here's a live look at tropical storm harvey. now at 45-mile-per-hour sustained winds. 39 miles per hour and above is considered a tropical storm. still within the range here, but look at the movement. only one mile per hour down to the south-southwest. it's basically stuck where it is. no steering mechanism to push it, so it will only move a sm
