landon dowdy has the cnbc business news. another hack to report, landon. >> reporter: unfortunately, yes, another day, another hack. hyatt hotels has discovered a data breach at 45 properties worldwide. it occurred between march and july of this year and may have given hackers access to customer names, card numbers, expiration dates, and verification codes from cards that were manually entered or swiped at the desk. hyatt said it affected hotels in 11 countries including seven in the u.s. >>> and equifax setting the record straight after concerns about another data breach. fill us in. >> reporter: yes. this news broke yesterday. they clarified yesterday night. equifax says that systems were not breached again following the report yesterday by the security analyst. he said a link on the company's website redirected him to another site that encouraged him to download malware. equifax says the issue involved a third-party vendor that it uses to collect performance data on its site. it has since taken that page off line. >>> als
