the bay area. take a look at the impact for your weekend. the highest rain totals will be northwestern sonoma county. the rain totals to our north will be pretty big toward mid-afternoon. one to two inches of rain, but as we drop into the rest of the bay area, watch how these numbers drop off. really not too much at all. the dividing line right now appears to be across the county where we could see parts of the north bay half an inch to an inch of rain. an increase in chances for more substantial rain early. so keep in mind, rain chances highs in the upper 50s, near 60 means snow levels will be pretty high in the sierra. higher impact for your sierra travel plans on sunday. some tracks will move farther and farther to the north. that is the story as we wrap up january as the signs of rain or snow start to go away. even though we have showers in the forecast, a lot of that will be aimed into the north bay. most of it will come saturday night into early sunday. more sprinkles on monday and then thing
