mob-style robbery. leads in the case are drying up. kimberly: this happened in arlington at the beginning of august when several people jumped a man outside a popular bar in the heart of clarendon. where jeff goldberg is live for us now with whom police are looking for now. jeff? jeff: this was an awful situation it happened in front of a popular nightclub. the victim got hit in the back of the head with an only. the investigation has stalled. they are looking for help to solve the crime. the man was walking to catch up with friends when he tells police he was hit in the back of the head with the object and beaten by five or six men. they took the man's military i.d. and witnesses helped the victim who got up and did leave the scene. but the next morning the 22-year-old man realized the injuries were worse than he thought and he got help in arlington but police want the main witness or anyone else to come forward and identify the suspect who they say attacked the victim for no other reason than robbery. >> this individual was trying to do a thing for his friend and was the victi

? >> kellye: a community on alert. a woman attacked in arlington. the latest happened at a park off north george mason drive. jeff goldberg is live near the area. this victim was with her young daughter at the time? jeff: that is right, kellye. a 27-year-old mother walked in the park by george mason drive after 8:00. then she decided she felt like it was too late, too dark and too dangerous. she decided to turn around and she tells the police she saw her attacker. she said she had an uneasy feeling about seeing the men and he came out. she yelled "get away from me" and that caused the suspect to take off. they had an extensive search of the area. this is the sixth attempted sexual assault in arlington in the past month. the suspect dripping was similar this time burr again very vague. they don't know if they are dealing with one serial attacker or multiple suspects. that woman we heard from earlier today saying that we spoke with someone who said it's not common to see the attacks coming in arlington and that is the case. in all the attacks the women have gotten away. that is good news. b

this weekend. a fifth woman attacked in ash ash and police believe -- in arlington and police believe the incidents could be connected. horace: virginia bureau chief jeff goldberg live in arlington now with the latest in the investigation. jeff? jeff: well, it's just after 10:00, the woman in the early 20's was dropped off after work at the corner of south frederick and columbia pikes. she headed this direction north to the apartment complex when she tells police a man grabbed her and took her in a wooded area. thankfully she was able to successfully fight off the attacker. the woman tells police initially she noticed a man holding a stick nearby but thought nothing of it. then as she was about to make a call on the phone she says that man came up and grabbed her from the side. pulled her toward wooded area and demanded she take off her clothes. she kicked and screamed, got away, running home and called 911. he took off with the cell phone. this is the fifth attempted sexual assault in arlington in the past three weeks. there each case the woman is in her early 20's or 30's, walking a

today. >>> there are new developments tonight in the fatal police shooting of a man in arlington, texas, after a confrontation with police officers there. we get more tonight from nbc's gotti schwartz. >> reporter: moments before 19-year-old christian taylor was shot and killed by police a security company was matching his every move. surveillance video shows taylor being tracked through an arlington, texas, car dealership, climbing on cars and at one point jumping on a hood and whipping out the windshield. eventually taylor gets back in his own jeep and rams it through a secured gate and then drives into the dealership show room window. police say there is no video from inside but you can see officers calmly approach. >> suspect locked himself in the bathroom, now causing a disturbance. >> reporter: the police chief says officers ordered taylor to get on the ground but they say tried to escape through a back door. >> during this arrest there was a confrontation between officers and mr. taylor which led officer brad miller to discharge his weapon. >> reporter: the 49-year-old fired four
