, and so is nbc bay area's cheryl hurd. this vigil is set to start at 6:00 p.m. i know you're inside. what do you have? >> reporter: as you know, raj, the doors are officially open. city officials expect the stadium to fill as they come to remember the dead and injured, they can't help think about the couple accused in this massacre. >> i remember it and many people in the community remember that night and that's what makes them feel sorry, i'm sorry for what has happened. >> reporter: the director of the islamic center of riverside says he knows syed farook well. he says he even aattended his wedding reception two years ago. he even remembers talking to him in january 2014. >> that's the last time i saw him. the last time i spoke to him. and it was just casual type of conversation, and he mentioned to me that, you know, he's doing some government job. >> reporter: he says in 2013, farook took a pilgrimage to mecca. he said he planned to meet his fiancee he met online, tashfeen malik. peaceful and devout, no one we talked to believe he was capable of killing 14 people and injuring 21
