keith jones will report from pittsburgh tonight on "nbc10 news" at 11:00. >>> we hit 68 degrees yesterday but winter is back and it's going to stay cold overall for probably another week. we've got snow coming in on friday. much of the area affected for more than a couple hours, too. and then more cold blasts after that as we go into next week. still blowing out there. and it's blowing in the cold air. 44 degrees. winds 24 gusting to 36 miles an hour. we're 16 degrees colder than we were at this time yesterday. of course, it feels even more than that. it's in the low to mid-40s for the most part across the area. and tomorrow the temperatures will be the same but the wind will be much much less. these are the sustained winds. again, coming out of the northwest and generally 20 to 25 miles an hour. so, that is really a windy day. and that doesn't help does it? well, we've had a lot of sunshine. that helps a little. the march sun is pretty powerful. and this next storm getting closer and closer. now starting to pick up gulf of mexico moisture. it's a lot of moisture with this thing. and 6:00

. >> reporter: that's right, keith. the crime scene unit finally left here almost 24 hours exactly after officer wilson was shot. since then a cleaning crew and a regional manager for gamestop have been in and out of the store. a van just pulled up to fix the shot out glass. there were a number of eyewitnesses. that helped the investigation. yesterday's snow made it a lot tougher. >> i think it's a shame. >> reporter: late today cleaning crews in and out of the gamestop, this just after a investigators cleared the scene they had been examining. police actually melted the snow around the front of the store, trying to recover the 50-plus shell casings that remained after the shoot-out. today we also met dan, a guy who lives a few blocks from the plaza at 22nd and lehigh. he brought his niece and nephew out to the small memorial for officer wilson. >> they're out here ever day to protect us and make sure we're safe in the neighborhood. it's such a tragedy. >> reporter: when employees heard the shots yesterday, they told me

i'm keith jones. >> and i'm jacqueline london. today police announced they have filed murder charges against two philadelphia brothers. ramone williams has con faced while his brother carlton hipps is in the hospital wearing officer wilson's handcuffs. he confessed to killing him inside a game stop yesterday afternoon. officer wilson was at the store to buy a game for his son. police say the suspects weren't aware wilson was in line when they walked in to rob the place. the result was a shoot-out that led to officer wilson's murder. >> harry hairston begins our coverage. >> harry, you're learning more about the officer's final moments. >> reporter: just a few moments ago i talked to the raining judge. he told me ramone williams should be arraigned any moment now, no later than 5:15. we're going to go back in there after this live shot and check out the arraignment and give you the live details. earlier today i had talk at a news conference with the captain of homicide james clark. he described how the officer fought to save lives.
