monday morning, it's 47 degrees. all clear. you can see it from the camera in pleasanton. for the tri-valley, really beautiful. starting out with the sunrise, and in the south bay, 53 degrees. also 53 in the east bay and san francisco, just a few clouds here and there. it's 50 degrees. as we go through today, we're going to see the temperatures quickly warming up. by the end of the day, we'll be up to 83 degrees in the south bay. 88 degrees in the tri-valley. east bay up to 72 degrees. and some upper 60s for san francisco. as we get a look at the planner, we're breaking it down for oakland today. we start out at 57 degrees at 8:00, and mostly sunny skies with breeze winds and temperatures reaching just near 70 degrees. if you're planning on hitting the links add half moon bay today, we start out with no fog. it will be a great day for being able to actually see the ball as it goes along the golf course. and low 60s as we go into this afternoon. but then, spending extra time outdoors, you have to deal with the allergies and the pollen count. still moderate, but now getting more grasses

arrival near pleasanton this morning. good morning to you. thanks for starting your day with us. i'm laura garcia-cannon. >> i'm scott mcgrew. let's get the day started the right way with kari. >> we have cool temperatures and sunshine across parts of the bay area. he's a live look outside from mt. hamilton with the view from the south bay all clear. then we do have some clouds near ocean beach. it's 51 degrees. it's a little cool in parts of the bay as you get ready to head out. 49 degrees in livermore. fairfield, 52, and 52 in palo alto with highs today reaching the low to mid 80s, even some upper 80s. concord as well as morgan hill, upper 80s there for the north bay, 85 in napa and san francisco, 69 degrees. we are talking about some cooler temperatures and a chance of rain. that's before the weekend. so we'll take a look at the weekend forecast coming up. mike is still saying avoid that san mateo bridge. >> yeah, we like to be positive. everywhere around the bay is great, but traffic wise, this is not good. looks like someone also pulled over to the side. we talk about the b

meeting to update customers. >>> it's 5:08 and we're starting to get light in the sky. in pleasanton, all clear skies here and our temperatures starting out in the lower 50s. we have mostly mid to upper 50s for most of the south bay and over towards the peninsula, as well as parts of the east bay. then as we go into this afternoon, expect the high temperatures to reach into the low 80s for concord, livermore, morgan hill also at 83 degrees, 65 in san francisco, and santa rosa will see a high of 82 degrees. we'll have chance of rain in the forecast. i'll talk more about that coming up, but mike saw some brakes tapping on the bay bridge. >> we know we have more than a chance of slowing as you approach the bay bridge. i saw brake lights starting to sort of stack up right here at the berkeley curve. it rippled back. then it took about 90 seconds and started to ease once again. someone maybe a little anxious. that's okay. back to the maps, the approaches are moving well out of the east bay, the north bay across the golden gate bridge into san francisco. the bay bridge had no backup at the toll

there, but looking from pleasanton, it's all clear, and our temperatures have been cool as well. we're in the low to mid 50s and at 56 degrees in oakland and san jose. and morgan hill now at 50 degrees. looking at some patchy fog along the coast and also for parts of the north bay as well. we're seeing the visibility at half moon bay now down to three miles and also from santa cruz and coming through the mountain gaps over to san martin and gilroy, seeing some patchy fog there as well. as we go through today, all of that clears out and then we'll see the temperatures reaching into the low 60s or rather low 80s for gilroy and for parts of the east bay. we have anywhere from 84 degrees in danville to 68 degrees in oakland. also 68 in san mateo. 65 in the mission district today. and 78 degrees in novato. as you're making plans for the day, maybe you're heading out to the a's game, they won last night. our temperatures will be in the low 60s and dropping back to the upper 50s. make sure you're wearing a nice warm sweater. the rest of the week, a chance of rain in the forecast. yeah,
