A short video I did of Mount Dandenong Tourist Road in Mount Dandenong, Victoria, Australia.  I took this video on the spur of the moment, and didn't give much thought to composition or anything like that. There was a lot of glare in the camera screen, so I couldn't really see what I was photographing. I also admit the video is more unsteady than I would have liked.  Taken using my sister's Sony Handycam FDR-AX53

A video I shot recently consisting of two minutes of Mount Dandenong Tourist Road in Mount Dandenong, Victoria, Australia. It is a static shot, though several cars go by.  Recorded using my sister's Sony Alpha A7R II.  Not an entertaining video, but it does have local content: local trees, the sound of a local bird, and a local resident saying "G'Day".

A 1902 recording of "I Have Grown So Used to You" by musician J. Frank Hopkins, combined with the visual of rain falling into a puddle. Once again, not classic TV, and this video only exists to prove to future generations that I existed. I suppose this could go into the short films section, but I don't think this counts as a film. The audio comes from the ever-lovely UCSB Cylinder Audio Archive. The video itself is by me.

A few bits of footage I took. Hopefully OK to release under a creative commons licence. Includes: Power lines pole, flowers, and a sign. I upload this to the classic TV section so it is easier for me to keep track of. Once again, we have an upload that was only made so there is additional proof I exist. However, the flowers are kinda interesting, and the power lines poles may be of historical interest in 100 years from now.

This is not classic TV, but an attempt at editing by me. It collects footage, ranging from the 1930s to 1970s, combined with a jazz recording from the 1910s. Footage includes the air being polluted, some nice cars being destroyed, etc...To give credit where credit is due, let me say that I got the music recording from here. It is "Lonesome Road" by Wilbur C. Sweatman's Original Jazz Band, recorded in the late 1910s. I was originally intending to use an Earl Fuller track, but I didn't...

I was bored, so today I put together this video showing 10 different video games for the CD-i, a multimedia system released by Philips. The system was sold from 1991 to 1997, and there were also models by other companies like Goldstar and Sony. The games shown here range from "pretty good" to "really lame". I'm not sure what purpose this video serves, but I already had recorded the footage for YouTube so I thought I'd upload it in some form to IA. The games shown are...

Three old TV sets I have for retro-gaming purposes. I have three additional CRT sets for retro-gaming purposes, but they are rather more recent and not classic like these. A useless video, I upload it only because I have an ego problem and am worried there isn't enough proof on the internet that I exist. My voice appears, but I do not appear on-screen.

A series of excerpts from 1954 television. Drawn almost entirely from variety shows. Most of the shows excerpted aired live. I give a 20-second introduction at the start, and look like I had just been hit by a truck, and use a particularly awful double-negative. The clips are from US series....I was unable to get clips from TV from the UK because so little survives of their 1954 TV programming, and of course shows from other countries are virtually impossible to get. A pretty useless video I put together, consisting of excerpts from 1950s daytime commercials with the sound removed, in order to demonstrate that such ads can be used in video projects. However, this video itself cannot be used for such video due to heavy compression. The footage is drawn from my section "Classic TV Commercials uploaded by Emperor". I hope this isn't the worst thing ever uploaded. The footage is presented "straight".

Just some video I (Argall) edited together, with clips of Dorothy Collins singing songs on the "Your Hit Parade" series, as well as a few of her Lucky Strike commercials. Yes, I realise this video has a silly title...but it's a catchy title, much like some of the songs she sings. (note: while the "Your Hit Parade" TV series is public domain, the compositions she performs are still copyrighted. So maybe not a wise idea to upload it to YouTube)

No real theme, just a bunch of clips from footage I found on my computer. Some of these clips I downloaded from the Prelinger section, but some are from my own uploads. All of these clips I found interesting for one reason or another. I edited them at random (when I found a clip, I added it), so if there's any humour in the editing, it is unintentional (such as having a clip of a classy singer followed by a car being destroyed). A useless video, but I find it to be watchable. How about you?

I don't know if this video is legal or not, but here's a collection of excerpts from public domain United States television programming from 1951. I give a (lousy) introduction at the start. Some of these clips are very pleasant and charmingly dated, while others make it clear that there is a reason times have changed. Represented are clips of shows from CBS, ABC, NBC, DuMont, and first-run syndication. Just remember, most of these shows aired live.

A video I put together featuring the opening titles for 20 different American game shows of the 1950s. Unfortunately, I was unable to get copies of 50s game shows from other countries. Most of the shows featured in this video were legit, a few of them weren't. Most of these aired live, so expect the occasional technical fault. The episodes excerpted in this video can be viewed in their entirety on the Internet Archive..look them up.

Just a video I quickly put together of some clips of 1949 American television. A total of 9 clips in the video (the first clip is the longest). Some of the clips contained are from my own uploads, some are from other people's uploads. There's too much digital compression, so probably much better to download rather than stream this video. Another in this series of videos consisting of long & short clips from public domain television series, plus a few classic commercials. Including excerpts from shows from a variety of broadcasters (NBC, CBS, ABC, WABD, and even a syndicated series), and a variety of genres. Part of the reason I do this series is to highlight the variety of shows that we have in the classic TV section.

I'm sure everyone will hate this, and the picture quality is poor. It is a collection of very short clips from over 40 classic TV series and a few old-but-not-classic series, all taken from public domain episodes. At times the clips seem to be making a statement....

In Australia, they lately seem to be doing "special" Coca-Cola cans with messages like "Share a Coke with Harry", "Share a Coke with Comet", "Share a Coke with Nan", etc etc. This is stock footage of Coca-Cola cans. These ones say "Share a Coke with Nan" and "Share a Coke with Champ". Again, this is tedious stock footage, and not for entertainment purposes. Again, this is not for entertainment purposes. Based loosely on my unpopular "Compilation of Miscellaneous Footage" series of YouTube videos. This 3rd installment includes more classic TV clips, including an unusual and long clip which doesn't fit the expected preconception of 1950s TV. Plus clips from sitcoms, soaps, and 2 classic commercials! With footage from all 4 classic networks!

Based somewhat on my unpopular YouTube series "Compilation of Miscellaneous Footage". This 2nd-edition was created using leftover clips that weren't used in part 1, so there is more repetition of similar clips. Footage is taken from old public domain shows, or from public domain commercials, or from old fall preview promos.

A collection of 1950s television clips (edited together by me!), featuring singers that Prince Vegeta hasn't heard of. Some of these singers were well-known at the time and are still remembered by those alive at the time. Some of these singers are noteworthy in some way. Some of them were obscure then and obscure now. Some of them don't matter in the slightest. But all of them are very talented! Over 20 singers, with clips from 14 different television series.

The eighth edition of this series compiling clips from various public domain television series, as well as some vintage commercials. I'm not sure if this series is a good idea or not...any comments or advice would be welcome. (note: I'm pretty certain the 1910s composition "Ballin' the Jack" is public domain. If not, then I'll re-upload this video without the clip of Dagmar singing it)
