8:33 pm
think of that. last week they thought they had a great issue and i get credit i hope it true what they say have good political instincts people say i have the greatest political instinct in 50 years. i don't think so but i have my own feeling when i heard them talking about the children, first of all they were using pictures taken in 2014 when barack obama was president. and what i learned is one thing. our facility are cleaner and better and better better run. that is the one thing i i saw that. but i liked it and said the democrats want open borders, anybody they want including ms 13-point into the country and
8:34 pm
the democrats don't like i.c.e. these are tough people they are much tougher than ms 13. they don't like border patrol they don't like the police they don't like anybody. the democrats want to protect illegals coming into this country some of whom are not good. some of whom cause lots of problems in the worst possible way. they want to protect illegals coming into the country much more so than they want to protect and that is not where we are coming from. [applause] so i decided today the democrats want open borders and they don't mind crime we want very tight and strict borders by the way you saw 70 years ago with all the complaining i'm doing we have done a very good job we have

to get that wall built all the way across they don't want it that is a symbol but this is the party of maxine waters can you believe her? this has become the party of maxine waters and nancy pelosi that i don't mind crime they want open borders really tough borders and we want people to come and we want people to come into the legal process what about the thousands of people who have gone through this process leading to come into our country and then we have no idea who these people are? and they came to me three days ago sir you would like you to sign the order. 5000 judges on the border.
8:36 pm
judges asked what other country has judges? how many do we have now? they did not even know we have thousands of judges and now we will have 5009 good job with judges with our supreme court judge for such -- gorsuch we are putting people in that feedback constitution the way it is written. [applause] with a face or we need 5000 judges. 5000? we put a judge on the federal bench it takes weeks and a long time to get them now they want 5000? we're going to find 5000 people to be judges how many
8:37 pm
do we have now? i don't know the number. they don't even know the number they are in charge. we have thousands of judges already. so when a person comes into our country and steps 1 foot to take your name and bring them to court and release and they go into the country and you never see them again. so i said today. i don't want judges. i want i -- i and border patrol agents. when we want to tell people i'm sorry you are coming into the country illegally do you know i heard a number today that is hard to believe 700,000 people waiting to go on trial. this is not from tromp it was a disaster for bush although we very much appreciated laura blushes lovely letter it was a disaster for obama and in fact
8:38 pm
the head of its homeland was on and very honest and said it was very tough time for them. but we are going to straighten it out. i got a bad hand. i got the job in trade deals were bad. how bad were trade deals? north korea they thought they were going to war if you go to war with north korea korea has 20 million people. if you go to war, who knows? millions of people not even talking about nuclear they have thousands of cannons aimed right at seoul korea. i am telling you before i got to this office there was a really good chance we are going to war with north korea
8:39 pm
we could have lost millions and millions of people fly got a bad hand in session haven't done years ago i got a bad hand with the trade deals have to is a disaster mexico will make over $100 million from dollars from the united states this year. canada nice guy. the prime minister, justin i said what your problem justin? i love their national anthem but i love ours better canada is great i love canada we had a wonderful understanding you know the story we hugged and kissed everybody was happy and made changes it was meaningless but i made some changes i left and everybody was happy then he said everybody was in love they took the picture two minutes later i had a big smile we were friendly. everybody i get onto air force
8:40 pm
one he doesn't understand air force one has 22 televisions. televisions in closet and unlimited budget air force one. i get onto the plane and the prime minister canada saying canada will not be bullied by the united states. what are we doing here? the fact is that canada as a 275% tariff on dairy products there lumber is a disaster why aren't we using our own number? because now we can take lumber from our field and grow that in the old age you cannot do that under the environmental system we had to go to other countries so lumber is a disaster energy is a disaster. when justin said we fought world war i together we fought world war ii to the other.
8:41 pm
that's true. we love canada but they 300% tariff. it all is working out great. i said if you want to do that but it tariff on your cars that is the big one. the european union we lost $151 billion last year with the european union it sounds nice many of us originally came from somewhere in the european union i had to parent european union. it sounds wonderful that they send mercedes and bmw and everything. e tax and practically nothing we cannot send our cars and if we do they charge many, many times the attack at least two busy do not charge so i told them here's what we are going to do we will charge a tariff on steel and how much time as you straighten up your

act. [applause] they don't let our farmers into the european union. it is very hard we have farmers that want to sell but these people don't tl the stories the european union has trade barriers. european union does not allow our farmers to go and trade it is very hard for them and very expensive to say my canada when you pay 275% tax and now i am understanding it is higher but you are 75% at the trade barrier how can we trade we cannot pay that kind of attack. i want the barriers taken down i went our farmers to trade and sell cars there like they sell cars here. [applause] it will all work out. remember this. it will all work out. because we are the piggy bank
8:43 pm
they like to take on whether military protection, look at nato. we are spending 90% of nato. it is all wonderful like to help others but it helps them. they are in europe it helps them more than it helps us. we are far away soldier pays 1% of a much smaller gdp we pay 4% of a much larger gdp. that doesn't work. so i think we should pay the same as germany. [applause] how did he get so bad? what happened is we put on attack and in china sell a car into china from united states they charge a 25% tax% tax if china sells the car into the united states we charge them 2.5% versus 25% somehow i look at this rich guy right over here that doesn't work too well. i do that you are very successful. i can't see it in your eyes. but that doesn't work too well and we have many cases like that. we will straighten it out and they all want to negotiate because they have to negotiate honestly it has to happen it's not a threat it's like the alien deal we were so badly paid $150 billion to sign a horrible agreement we gave
8:47 pm
$1.8 billion in cash pickup for hostages. the wealthiest hostages in the world the highest net worth of any hostage in history. we paid nothing. nothing to north korea and he did a very smart thing because it was good will and didn't before i even left there are a lot of good things that are happening. and it will all work out. it will work out because we have a big advantage because remember we are the bank and they are taking money from us hand over fist but i'm.than has got to stop. we can lower your taxes which we did we gave you the greatest tax cut in the history of our nation. and women? i said i thank you have lost them for a long time. because just like this producer from hollywood to, we are doing a real job. now it is 511 days i don't believe any institution that we are partners in this, when we came out this is not me it is a whole group of people. i don't believe, i don't even think it is close that any president has done what we have done in 500 days. [cheers and applause][n] not only with the judges and the biggest tax cut, not only anwr in alaska you know all about and were one of the greatest drilling sites in the world that nobody could get oil and gas nobody could ronald reagan couldn't get it i didn't even want it until i heard
